"Of course." Lucy fumbled in the drawers and pulled one out. After wiping his wound, she placed it on. "Now, not to be rude, but you should leave. My boss, Morgan, says I can't come in here. But I don't listen of course." She giggled. "I expect another thrashing when I go back downstairs anyway..."

Aura held up a book that discribed human standards and ranks. She then pointed at it. Her message wasn't that hard to understand. "We don't have a place to live. Belive it or not, we are actually in hour fifties, even though we look like young drakes." Aurgal said, "However, my offer still stands. Even Aura got a good look at him and seemed disgusted." Aura nodded in agreement

"Wow, you're in your fifties? You look great!" She exclaimed, wondering if it was the right thing to say. "Well, I'll be here, slaving away, most of the time. But I have accommodation at the Wayfarer Inn down the road. If I'm not here, I'll be there. Now, come on. Once downstairs, don't draw attention to yourself." She advised.

"Whatever." Aurgal said as an answer to all of those. He and his twin started to leave, going downstairs. Aurgal put on the patch over his right eye as pain started to wrack his body. Of all the times for his adrenline to fade...

Colum ceased his patting of Zeel and glanced about. The night had taken full form around him, small lights gleamed from inside the hovles littering the streets and the stars sparkled in the sky devoid of a moon. The streets were empty, bare, still, as if the city itself was resting.

"Are you still use to flying?" asked Colum, looking back at what he concidered his scaled pet, "I need to get to the big tower thingy," he paused, licking his lips, "and I'd like to get it done quickly, I'm feeling a bit partched." In truth, the boy wasn't thinking about getting a drink, he was thinkg of barmaids, but alas, such is the male boy mindset.

Colum listened to Zeel's question, his frist responce was to cover his eyes as he diddn't need to see where they were going in order to hang on ("at least, I don't think I need to see to hang on...") but he distrust of the dragon made him a bit more careful. He also diddn't want to be casting magic on his eyes and face, taking in to account his forgetting of how to counteract the fire on his arm.

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, take a few laps to get your wings back and then come pick me up." said Colum with a stern tone

"Uh... aren't you going to watch me fly?" Zeel asked. He didn't trust Colum to trust him, and didn't want to make him suspicious. "Just to make sure I won't run off? If I do, you could always take a bow and shoot me down..." The thought made him uncomfortable.

Colum felt a pang of annoyance at the dragon, "Of course I'm going to watch you! But if you really want to get away, not much I can do about it without chaining or maming you." he though sourly. THer were an army of responces to the dragons question, ones questioning his loyality, bravery, sanity, sence of moral decency, dignity, and even in brain mass. Colum had the urge to come down on Zeel like a ton of bricks over this act of concern, but instead he found a better use of the dragon's mistrust of Colums' mistrust.

"Are you turning down a chance to fly freely for the first time since comming to this place?" asked Colum with a smile that was origionally false, but evolved into an honest grin, "enjoy a bit of freedom! Just make shure to come back before TOO long so I can get done what I need to get done." Wile speaking, the boy had wondered over to neerby hovle wall and began to lean on it, intending to watch what he expected to be Zeel's joyous return to the air. "Do we have a deal?" asked Colum, as he put his full weight on the wall, and glanced to the skys.

"Of course. Thank you," said Zeel gratefully, "I won't be long."

He darted up into the air, stretching his wings out as far as they would go, feeling the refreshing rush of wind on his face. This time, however, he was free. He pushed himself higher and higher, though not too high, fearing Colum would lose sight of him. Once high enough, he decided to turn in circles in the air, testing how tight he could make his turns. Oncce satisfied, he dived, until he was just a few feet off the ground, then, using the momentum he built up, jetted forward, feeling exhilarated. This was the feeling he enjoyed, that he had longed for since his enslavement. This was the After this test, he was satisfied, and flew back to Colum's position.

"I am done. Let's go."

Colum diddn't like dragons, the thought of so much power in a being made him uneasy, but he always had admired how graceful they could be when they took flight. The boy was in the middle of watching Zeel enjoy his moment of freedom, his mental space was assulted "...Please hurry, Colum... I'm... in pain here..."

"Holy crap!" muttered Colum in surprise, he thoough that the dragon had fallen asleep or something. His voice sent a shivver up and down Colum's spine. When Zeel landed and spoke,

"I am done. Let's go." Colum instantly shuffled over to the dragons flank and looked for a good place to sit.

"Hey!" Colum called to Zeel, "where do I sit?" then the boy though"and what do I hold on to?"

Zeel decided to think for a minute. "You can sit anywhere that won't interfere with my wings. You can grip onto my shoulder blades, for now, though I will have to slow down a bit..." the last part said with obvious displeasure. "My scales should be rough enough to prevent you from falling off too easily... Or maybe you have some magic?" He was unsure if he trusted magic, though he did think that it shouldn't be thrown out as a possibility.

Colum had the urge to insult Zeel on his comment about using magic, but decyded to let it go as the dragon probally knew nothing of magic, "He's probally even afraid of it..." he thought.

"Try not to swing your head too much..." asked Colum as he climbed on top of Zeel resting at the base of the dragons long neck, "I'm not good with heights." the boy joked. "Also, see if you can avoid doing anything... you know... fun wile I'm up here."

Galloping down from the left-front tower, Idris felt a mixture of panic and relief. The king was absent from his chambers. What did that mean?

The centaur reached the throne room and then took a door leading down to yet more stairs. Once at the bottom, he skidded to a halt in front of two more guards, both centaurs, who were busy engaging in a game of chess.

"Ulkna! He's... He's not in his chambers." Idris gasped breathlessly.

The two other centaurs looked up, slightly annoyed at Idris for disturbing their game. The older of the two, with a black beard snapped, "And?!"

"Good riddance I say." The younger one said, with fair hair. "He's given us nothing but trouble."

"Hang on." The older one chipped in. "So he's not in there... That doesn't mean he's in trouble. Not that I care."

"Yeah. Except that he's never in trouble. If he was, the troublemaker's head would roll across the floor in a second." The younger centaur said, shivering.

"Leave him be. He'll be back... Not that I want him to come back."

Idris folded his arms. "But guys... We'll lose our jobs if we don't find him."

The other two centaurs immediately got to their feet. "Come on then!" The younger one said.

"The wife won't be happy if I don't bring in the earnings. Not that he pays us much, but anyway..."

Idris grinned - that always worked. The three of them galloped up the stairs into the throne room. "Gather the rest of the guards and meet me here." Idris commanded them. They trotted away in different directions. He looked up at the stars through the skylight and gasped when he saw the outline of a dragon heading towards the tower. A dragon that was not Ulkna...

((Yes, he's spotted Zeel, but they won't know that.))
