Re: I'm Just About Ready to Give Up...
I'm starting to think this thing is just a big hoax that got a lucky start and snowballed into something huge. Lets face it. There are no facts to this movie whatsoever. If they couldnt make a trailer by now, then it's obviously a fake. There has been no confirmation on this whatsoever either by the creators. There should be SOMETHING out for now.
As for the poster, it sets me uneasy for multiple factors:
1. The model of Spyro doesnt look exactly right. His front left paw(His view) looks like it's 'hovering' slightly. It looks like it could've been made in a 3D rendering program, example: Blender. His eyes unease me, but i dont know if that is something I might add.
2. The birds in the sky look copied multiple times, shrunk and rotated slightly. easily photoshopped 2 figures and done the above.
3. The opening sentence seems on from someplace that would be good for catching eyes. the wording like 'Producer', said by one of the members above, just doesnt seem right. It's unlikely to be one producer on this movie. Also "Based on the Hugely successful Spyro video game fanchise" doesnt seem like a professional way of stating it.
4. The "3D" added to the title doesnt seem it would be professionally done. If anything, they would've put time into the "3D" adding and made it a bit more Spyroish, to match the title. As for the actual movie, it really doesnt seem like it might get off the ground. Even if it is in production, there has to be proof on my part.
Until then, I'm totally agnostic about this, as in, I dont believe it exsists, but if shown proof that it exsists, I will believe it. But, I hope it doesnt, or it will greatly ruin the franchise.
Wow. Well done on spotting all these things out. Now I realize how fake the poster looks. And I agree, if there is a movie, it would probably ruin the franchise.

Also, how come it says 'from the producer of Eragon' but there's nothing about Velvet Octopus OR the Animation Picture Co. in Eragon or whatever?

Re: I'm Just About Ready to Give Up...
Yeah, there's no Spyro movie. There are plenty of amazing artists out there who could've created that poster with ease. I'm kinda glad about the absence of the movie, however, because there is no chance of it ruining the franchise now. By the way, I also noticed the "hugely successful" statement. It seems like a very childish way to say something. Whoever did create this poster and caused all this hype should just admit that they did so we can be 100% sure of no Spyro movie.

What I have noticed is that Spyro's eyes are blue in the poster whereas his eyes are meant to be purple

Re: I'm Just About Ready to Give Up...
Wow, I was wondering how long it would take for people to realize there was something really off about the poster. Amazing how hype for an official Spyro film builds. The fact that the storyline of the LoS games themselves were barely strong enough to hold up for the games kinda clued me in that this film was not quite ready to go. Also the fact that none of the original VA cast is involved was another hint and the fact that Chris Wilson has departed aka been fired from the Spyro franchise was another clue. Chris and his partner were the main writers and scenario developers for the LoS trilogy. With Chris gone and his partner not being mentioned as being involved the whole film project was in doubt to me right there.
Also, there is the fact that the Spyro franchise needs a much stronger story for a film. Something that is fresh and original like dare I say ... *gasp* my LoA original project. Yep, my LoA project has all the qualities to make it a truly great Spyro film. It is an original story that is based on LoS and the original Spyro while at the same time being strong enough to stand on its own. So there you go and by the way the reason we have not heard anything about future games is that the franchise is in the wrong hands. They have a franchise they don't know what to do with. The LoS games saved the franchise from cancellation but just barely. Any future game in the LoS timeline won't be done for awhile since Spyro isn't one of their top money makers. Hey, Blizzard/Activision are MMO makers first and foremost. Their MMOs take priority over our beloved Spyro and I wish that wasn't the case but it would appear that is the case.
Then again it would take one hell of a story to continue the LoS storyline and sadly I don't think the current writers available to Blizzard/Activision are up to the task.

Re: I'm Just About Ready to Give Up...
The LOS games had the porential to be a great film, only the script writers would be able to pull it off. If a larger company considered looking into making the film, the film would turn out much better, because the larger companies have all the facilities to make such a film.

I agree with that. I believe the LOS games have a very strong story line and could be a good or decent film. The story all seems to link and flow through well.

What I'm worried about is, if this movie isn't being made or is cancelled, the uproar it's gonna cause. The Spyro fans are going to lose it.
