Announcing the release of Dragon Rhapsody - the Album
http://www.studio-rex.tk
(click "Releases", then on the album art, scroll to the link that says "click for the musics" or whatever and there you are)
I didn't know where in the forum to put it, but there we go - I put it in a general Spyro forum since I feel this is as close to where a debate on the music of the series would usually go. Anyway...
I have worked hard on a steady pace over the past 5 months making a series of Spyro music arrangements. This album in particular is there to honor the works of Stewart Copeland via 19 modern symphonic covers of songs he wrote for Spyro 1, 2, 3 and Enter the Dragonfly. It was an ambitious project that I ended up working on in the past month especially, and I really hope that you enjoy listening to the end product as much as I enjoyed making it.
I hope to leave this open as a feedback thread for it, or if anyone wants to lock it give me a reason why and I'll quickly offer an arm stretch for a handshake in return. hm...
Thanks for your time and enjoy

Rexy! I never knew you did remixes of songs! Exellent work!
What can I say? I just love video games! But I happily don't let them control my life. Let that be a lesson to you

I think your next one should be a Crash album, with remixes of boss song from Crash 2 and Warped! Of course that's just my opinion. Do you mind telling us what you really are going to wprk on next? :-|

Re: Announcing the release of Dragon Rhapsody - the Album
You thought really quickly with that; I brought that up with the guys at Crash Mania last weekend And yes, there's going to be a load of bosses, including most of those from Warped.
Thanks for the commentary

Re: Announcing the release of Dragon Rhapsody - the Album
I have proof that I managed to arrange them myself. Here are two videos of me and the project files for the initial Dragon Rhapsody medley, both discussing the development of the video's audio track.

I have no intent on selling the album for a profit. Heck, a lot of my videogame re-arrangements from the past three years have never been sold; only shared. Otherwise, if this act is illegal, then sites like OverClocked Remix (which I have a couple of submissions over there) would be given a C&D order by now.

Re: Announcing the release of Dragon Rhapsody - the Album
I understand I am replying to a rather old thread, however, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Rexy's remixes of the Spyro series music!
Also, I managed to download the tracks I wanted except for one:
A remix of the Greatest Hits version of Crystal Islands! It sounded soooo awesome, and it is used in one of Rexy's video clips, and if I could, I download the video clip as an MP3 of YouTube, and extract the music, but unfortunately, there is too much commentary over the music!
If anybody knows where I can download this Crystal Islands track from, I'd gladly appreciate it!
Thanks!

Wow! Fancy seeing you here, Rexy! I've seen your work before, in some of the Sonic the Hedgehog-themed OCRemix albums! (I really like 'Hogtied', by the way, even though it's not at all the type of music I'd listen to )
Obviously, since this thread is old, the URL doesn't seem to work... where did you download them from, Spyroboy? (And on an unrelated note, welcome to the forums! )

Thanks for the welcome!
You will find some, (but not all) of them here:
http://instaidgrace.com/freqrexy/junk/d … sody-1.htm
http://instaidgrace.com/freqrexy/junk/d … sody-2.htm
Unfortunately, neither contain the elusive track I am looking for the most, Crystal Islands!
I actually first found out about the Crystal Islands track not because of Rexy, but because a YouTube user (and member of this forum) "yearofthe" used the track in this video clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnILJRUMYQU (skip to 3:41 to see what I mean).
