Re: The real true facts why the series had a "low publicity" level
The true fact of why Spyro turn into a low publicity video game.
1) It's not the legend games
2) It's not the other high publicity video games (like I said)The truth is, I hate to say, but the real reason why, it's us on these two forums (here and darkspyro). Why, we'll turning the series into a major Civil war between the Originals and the Legends.
The real reason why we had a Spyro-less 2009, it's because of us users fighting each other (Originals complaining about the Legends, and Legends complaining about the Originals).
So if we keep fighting one another, the series will die. But if we make up and go with the flow, then their make another Spyro game (it could be a Legend game or a Original game).
lol, you think the makers would really care about these two places?
I just think they are concerned about the series having seen it's better days and they are afraid to mess Spyro up again (Activision)
If tomorrow may never come, and yesterday is just a memory, then what is today worth?

Re: The real true facts why the series had a "low publicity" level
Look, people just have to accept that the old Spyro games are over... Period... They aren't coming back...
Neither will the original Halo games, Original CoD games, or the original Warcraft games.
These things happen, and they don't change back. If you don't like the new Spyro games that is fine, but just remember that complaining about it won't help. This thread seems more to have brought back that conflict, but it isn't against the rules, so a mod won't lock it. I personally would prefer this thread to die so we don't have this "New vs. Old" war again.

What Warcraft is heading to a new era...And im sure WOW is just a place holder for Wacraft 4 when it gets made.
Blizzard still loves thier story..We still have The legion to invade and the Lich king's Conquest. not to mention illdian turning Darked winged

Re: The real true facts why the series had a "low publicity" level
Forgive me, I'm going to flame Neotyguy40
My responce to halo not going to it's roots? Gameplay = Halo ODST Story= Halo Wars, Halo Reach, Halo ODST
CoD gameplay + story (CoD never has had a storyline apart from excuses to have epice explosions and destory national monuments) = CoD World At War
Warcraft? Well WoW is all storyline (and barrens chat :eyeroll: ) and Bli$$ard never misses a chance to continue a series, it just takes years and years (starcraft 2 is finally comming out after... a decade? Diablo 2 is fiannaly comming out after... 8 years?)
and just one more example of a game going to its beginnings is both Mario (but he doesn't count as he had been in everything like a jigglo) and the soon to be realised Sonic game that is side scrolling and has Eggman as a villan (with more eggman robot flaws...)
P.S. I embrace the New vs. Old War. In theroy, if a company does some reasearch on what there core gamers want, such "New vs. Old" threads will make the strong and weak point of both sides evadent, and thus, they build on it and shazoom. We have our first good Spyro game in a long time.

And may I ask, yet again, what's wrong with debating new vs. old Spyro?
If you don't like to see games you like criticized, just don't go into the threads where they are being criticized. Not that difficult. There's no reason to stop the discussion all together.

Because they encourage rage and Fanboys.

Unfortunately, this is true, but that doesn't mean some people can't have the discussions and be sane about it.

...assuming they actually care what we think.
In all honesty I think the producers are always playing the guessing game. Not because they don't know what we want but rather WE don't know what we want. I just want a game producer to make a game from the inside out, not based on 'what the fans want'.
And if the game is good then great. If the game is bad, well...
Wake me up... when September ends is here...

If the next game is bad I don't think we should see any more of it...
The series hasn't been mainstream since Insomniac stopped making the games, and if it isn't mainstream it isn't going to sell as well. Simple math. If only they had figured this out sooner, the new developers could have started a new franchise and maybe made more money off it.
