Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?

Well spyro has had many battle but who do you count as the main bad guy for our purple friend?

I'd say ripto due to the fact he keeps popping up and vowing revenge...

Definately Ripto. I would say Gnasty, but the gnorc species seems to coexist pretty well when Gnasty isn't spreading his tyranny. What is a gnorc anyway? Are they amphibious?

Something that always confused me was Ripto stood alone as the villian in Spyro 2, and only Crush and Gulp served as minions, there was no one else, just the Avalarians. In EtD, Ripto's evil movement are a species of rhynocs i think, who are really first seen as the Sorceress' evil movement. Like they mixed the two together. In AotR (Adventure), Ripto lead a group of Riptocs who ran the place. You had seen riptocs before I think Dino Mines the first real Riptoc level, but it wasn't a the mass evil race until AotR.

So definately Ripto, which is unfortunate. He is a sorry arch-nemisis. All of the YotD bosses are harder than all of Ripto's boss battles individually.

TLOS i see Gaul more as a bone to pick as he is more known to Spyro

if they make more in TLOS they MUST have gaul not enoth was known about him i mean we found out he's an ape king and wishes to kill spyro at all cost but thats all we got.

He is quite abrasive at times, but you got to respect that in a character. I mean it gives them so much life no matter how exasperating they me be. Its like a boss that just won't die but at the same time its so fun beating the tar at of them.

it wouldn't be so odd seeing moneybags as a potential villian.

(Correct me if these numbers aren't correct)

Moneybags is the most hated used character, he would be up for candidacy for arch nemesis in this respect.

lol i love chaseing moneybags its the best gem gaining out of any spyro game, but id say ripto is the most main antagonist in the series he's in 4 games (in epilouge in spyro 3) the 2nd most antagonist would be gnasty gnorc. smile

Ripto is talking with gnasty gnorc about the spyro problem in the epilouge. Cynder is only a villan in one game and she appears only in the TLOS series (which suck) ripto is the main antagonist he was in riptos rage (of course), season of flame (GBA), attack of the ryhnocs (GBA), and EtD (worst spyro game) and in epilouge in spyro 3.

Something else I just learned from the Spyro wiki site is that Ripto's name comes from the appearance of Spyro's name in Japanese. Just another reason why Spyro and Ripto are forever each other's primary opponent.
