Re: So...Who still wants a movie?

I'll be the first one here to say I DON'T want a Spyro movie. They're just gonna end up ruining it like movies have ruined so many good books (besides the Harry Potter movies, but the Eragon movie sucked).

Re: So...Who still wants a movie?

I'm sure a Spyro movie will eventually happen.  I just hope he doesn't fall into the hands of Michael Bay.  Cynder would end up being a useless, skanky character, and the excessive explosions would be distracting.

Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: So...Who still wants a movie?

3D animated film (cancelled)

On October 25, 2007, it was announced that the film rights for Spyro the Dragon had been purchased by The Animation Picture Company.[6] Daniel Altiere and Steven Altiere wrote the script, which was going to be based on the recently released The Legend of Spyro trilogy. The film was going to be coming out from Los Angeles, California and would be animated in Korea by a South Korean Animation studio, Wonderworld Studios. It was also going to produce the movie along with Universal Animation Studios. The film was also supposed to be produced by John Davis, Dan Chuba, Mark A.Z. Dippé, Brian Manis and Ash Shah. The film was to be distributed and advertised by Velvet Octopus along with Universal Studios. Mark Dippe was going to direct the film. This film was originally supposed to be released in theaters on Christmas 2009 for the United States and Canada, but it was delayed and it was also supposed to be released on April 10, 2010, but was never confirmed and has proven to be false. The next day, it was confirmed by Daniel Altiere himself that the movie had been officially cancelled due to decisions made by Activision.[7]

(hate to say it but it got canceled ><..at least spyro wont be ruined at least..like Eragon ruined the book)

Re: So...Who still wants a movie?

well if they would have done Eragon the right way, like the book, It would have been boss!!! But they didn't and it sucked so bad they can't even make a sequall. no...if they made a spyro movie like that it would be horrible to say the least. But if they will do the spyro movie right i'd totally be on board!

It would be great to have a movie but I would want another game though more.  I still imagine myself sitting in the theatre watching it.

Indeed, brother. Heheh, I do the same. I'd probably watch it 10 times
before it is no longer in theatres, which would be a new record for me. I
saw AVATAR and HowToTrainYourDragon 4 times, which is my record.

I sure hope a skilled and trusted company will make a Spyro movie. You
know, a company that has been making wonderful animated films [Such
as Balto and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron] for years on end ... [Hint?]
