What I understand for the past 15 1/2 months, I know that they're users that are majorly Boycotting the LoS series.

This is all I hear "LoS sucks", "LoS is gay" "the Originals can kick the Legends [a-word]"

Hello. It's the same games in the series, yeah, it has different graphics, game play, and storyline. And two, you Boycotters are the ones that's killing the series.

Oh, and you just contradicted yourself. If it's the same game, except with different graphics, gameplay and storyline, then it isn't really the same game at all, is it?

If it has Spyro in it, and it isn't the 4th console game of the series, chances are I will love it. While the LOS series could have been much better, and it is obvious that Sierra and Activision didn't try very hard, I still think it is an amazing series.

Do I want to see the originals remade on a single Wii disc, possibly including a completed, bug-free Spyro 4?

examples (read using a derpy voice for the full effect):
(referring to Spyro 3) "This is where the series ended for me."
"The first four were the only good ones."
"AHT sucked."
"Insomniac made the only quality Spyro games."
"I wish Insomniac still owned Spyro."

Insomniac only made the first games, AHT actually had the highest quality, ETD was terrible. If the series ended at 3 for you, you must be happy in the box. Try playing outside of it.

Insomniac only made the first games, AHT actually had the highest quality, ETD was terrible. If the series ended at 3 for you, you must be happy in the box. Try playing outside of it.

I have never heard a TLOS hater say that ETD was good. There is a pretty much universal agreement that it was horrible. Neither do all TLOS haters hate AHT. They sure as hell think it was worse than the first three, but a lot of us haters, including myself here, think AHT was an alright game. After all, it had a great abundance of shiny collectable items. What can we say to that?

Insomniac made the best Spyro games, because they had charm, spirit, and a few moments where you might even laugh. The levels were often insane, like the Robotic farm level, or the level that had birds and slugs duking it out with bazookas. The first three were very feel-good, and that's what we liked about them, and, let's be honest, the TLOS series is in no way feel-good. It's like taking Lara Croft and putting her in a beat-em-up. It might be interesting, but it's hardly going to retain the spark of the originals.

And in response to the OP, firstly, they are clearly not the same game. It's like How to Train your Dragon. The movie and books are drastically different, but because they contain some of the same names, as well as the concept of dragons and vikings together, they are considered the same. They are not the same. That is not to say either one is superior or inferior, only that they are different and the movie should probably not be judged on the basis of the books.

Secondly, how does boycotting ruin a series? Do all the best designers and programmers routinely commit suicide after seeing a negative comment? People have a right to express their opinion, positive or negative, and people also have a right to respond with reasonable diplomacy to the opinions of others. Besides, wouldn't listening and taking into the account the wishes of the fans improve the series? Generally that's the effect of criticism. Improvement. If people don't like what you're doing, then either take into account what they are saying, or crash and burn commercially. That's the way this sort of thing works.
