Hey DM,
I believe that the series isn't over yet. Even know this series wasn't even mention at this year's E3, but the only games they talk about is "over-rated" games
Games can pop out of nowhere, even when we lease expect it. Who knows, they might be another Spyro game release later this year.
Hey Dragon119
I totally agree with you, i wasnt saying that i think the series is over and there will be no more spyro games, i was just saying that there was no announcement at E3, sorry if i caused any confusion.

Re: Next game
I really wish they'd completely remake the first game for Xbox 360 and PS3 so it had amazing graphics, personally the 1st Spyro game is my absolute favourite, but the graphics from DotD were amazing, and I enjoyed the co-op, too.

Re: Next game
Nintendo has a large part of the Spyro market now, so the originals should be remade for Wii (and 3DS when it comes out) as well. Wii graphics aren't the best, but the originals would be awesome on Wii. (the Wii Classic controller is begging for PS1 game remakes)

Re: Next game
It's confirmed that there is a rumor about the next game from someone in Bungie, one of the game companies now working with Activision as part of their publishing. A Bungie employee there is a friend of someone I know on the Activision forums, and said something about a possible new Spyro game.

I seen it in the coming soon list that a new Legend of Spyro game coming out in TBA 2010, it says "rumored". But I said this before and I'll say it again, games can pop out of nowhere.
No one knows when it'll comes out, not even Spyrorocks knows, and he's the first one to know (if he knows a confirmed Spyro release, he'll make an Announcement and a new board)

Re: Next game
If the Bungie thing is true, I would be happy because Spyro would be in good hands. Bungie, Rare, Nintendo, and Insomniac are the only ones I'd trust when it comes to Spyro.

Re: Next game
I hope the Bungie thing is true, Spyro really could use some quality developers. I personally would trust Spyro to be taken by Bungie, Valve Software (Half-Life creators, also the guys who created Team Fortress 2), or Insomniac again (though that's just dreaming). Heck, RARE would probably do well with Spyro considering the Banjo Kazooie games. Hopefully we hear something after Halo: Reach is finished about it.

Re: Next game
Yeah ... Halo: Reach is Bungie's main objective right now. Well, the Halo
series in general. That's how they became well-known.
I really don't want Electronic Arts to get a hold of it. They're going to
screw it up, due to heir issues with putting multiplayer in every game
they make.

Like I'd care about MP in a Spyro game! LOL! EA could still make some pretty good Spyro games IMO.

Re: Next game
They do, and they could give the next Spyro game huge maps. They do
that for Battlefield, which has always had massive maps [since the first
game]. But other than large maps, I'm afraid of what EA would do.

They'd definitely do good with graphics and story-line I think...

Re: Next game
Insomniac doesn't seem to like Spyro any more. I don't think that [Insomniac making the next Spyro] is likely anyway, unless Insomniac goes independent from Sony like Bungie did from Microsoft. Then there's a slim chance.

Re: Next game
Hmm ... that might actually work out. I sure as [err...] don't want Infinity
Ward or EA to make it. First off, Infinity Ward sucks anyways, and I
already explained my thoughts about EA. But I'm sure Rare or Bungie
could get the job done while getting it done well without messing up a
Spyro game.
To be honest, I really liked the looks of Dawn of the Dragon. The feel of
the game, the dragon's looks, and maybe the levels. Then again, I felt
cramped into a little space in most of the levels in Dawn of the Dragon.
The Valley of Avalar and the Burned Lands levels were the only ones I
didn't feel "claustrophobic" being in.

Re: Next game
Most of the animations were swallow for hunter and other non dragons due to the fact it is hard to see expression there.
