Underpowered Evil

One thing that bothered me about this game was the power of evil.  Evil is one of the most powerful influences in real life, but had very little power in Dawn of The Dragon.

Malefor's minions were giant mindless insects.  At least the apes in the first two games were somewhat intelligent like many evil, powerful people (Hitler, Stalin, Woodrow Wilson)

When

Ignitus died, evil invaded and took over Spyro's body.  Cynder told Spyro he is the only one who can stop himself, and he instantly returns to normal.  If it was that easy, there would be a lot less evil in the world.

In Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix,

Sirius Black (same voice actor as Ignitus) dies (i think) and Harry is possessed to avenge him.  Harry's fight against the evil inside him was much more convincing, but even that was underestimated.

Re: Underpowered Evil

To be honest, giving a concept like evil a value of power, and then comparing this entirely fictional fictional concept value to the real-life fictional concept value is idiotic. For a start, you're dealing with different levels of reality, and secondly, the thing you are measuring does not exist.

It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

Re: Underpowered Evil

In real life evil and good doesn't exist..why even villians might be good guys in thier own sense.

In fictional sense the power of evil always consumes and pretty much take's over who uses it..it marks thier downfall.

Re: Underpowered Evil

Depends on the individual.  Spyro for example is strong in heart, so it wasnt that surprising that he was able to overcome darkness as quickly as he did.  And youre right, evil is extremely influential and brutally controlling.

Re: Underpowered Evil

Woodrow Wilson was practically a dictator and he disregarded* the American constitution.  ("disregarded*" is an understatement)  I am a "sick, twisted freak", BTW, and I'm proud to be one.
