Re: Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?
Yeah, I would say Ripto for sure. Though I also really like Gnasty, Ripto keeps popping up in games.

Re: Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?
Gnasty seems more like a nemesis to the whole Dragon race than to Spyro specifically. Yes, Ripto has always hated Dragons, but that comes off as more of a general hate which then emmbodies itself through Spyro and he thus does plan to hinder Spyro specifically. Gnasty's plans have alway involved giving all of them ire, whether by himself or assisting an Elder who also wants revenge on them (who has now turned good and thus no longer has that bone to pick). None have ever been personally tailored to thwart Spyro, he just takes him as he comes (as seen when he treated their previous bout before AHT with a rather laxed attitude).
Given what the Dragons put him through, it's no surprise really. These proud yet unprepared races really should think the whole banishment thing through. It didn't work in 1985, it didn't work in 1998 and it won't work now!

Re: Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?
Gnasty isn't smart enough to hold a grudge against Spyro and the other dragons (In AHT he seemed like he would've let Spyro go without a fight if possible.) Ripto and the Sorceress were intelligent enough. Grendor was, but he wasn't evil. Cynder was a puppet, as was Gaul. Malefor was the puppet master.
I'd say Ripto in the original series, and corruption itself in the Legend series.
Yo, Spyro

Gaul for TLOS.

You don't particularly have to be smart to hold a grudge and be a nemesis, you just have to hate the guts of your subject of grudging. Ask Mario if you don't believe me.

Or just love to to annoy each other.
I say Both of them are already annoyed.
Through Gnasty seems to enjoy fighting and taunting with Spyro.

Re: Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?
Bowser has the intelligence to know Mario is his main enemy, and his plans usually seem to improve. Gnasty was just angry and didn't seem evil, and he didn't cause any harm to the dragons (besides Spyro.)
I'd say Ripto is スパイロ's nemesis.

Re: Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?
'Improvement' is not a word I'd use to describe Bowser's plans. More 'erratic' and maybe 'insane'. Looking back from just 2007 alone shows him doing everything from getting a galaxy in his image to satisfying his son's desire to have fun to stealing Snow Spirits to hold his own sports event to...absolutely no plan at all and just letting his kids do the legwork to attacking for the sheer heck of it in the middle of a conference to wanting a giant cake baked. Even in the most steadfast and grand of these plans (Galaxy), he himself admits that his relationship with Mario will always be more parallel to Gnasty and Spyro than, say, Malefor and Spyro or possibly even Ripto and Spyro, because he enjoys the fight and would rather him be alive for the challenge and thrill (NOTE: no, he obviously did not mention Gnasty, Malefor, Ripto or Spyro at all). He's just nuts.
Gnasty just hasn't had that much exposure due to having two in-game appearance. If he did have more, I wouldn't be surprised if his next appearance showed him forcing the Ice Princess to bake him a cake, too.

Re: Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?
I doubt Malefor would be that.
I mean more likly he have more of a beef to pick with the dragon who defeated him ages ago then spyro.
It's like a ant with a human, Malefor didn't think it was a threat till it was on his doorstep.

Heheh, more like a fire ant. Those are more dangerous.
I guess you'd consider Ember a sugar ant, and Cynder a normal black ant.

Yes, suggestive indeed. And a bit freak-ish. Ember tends to be...
You know, Ember might not be an arch-nemesis, but could she be a nemesis?

Re: Who is spyro's arch-nemesis?
Not a form or shape of enemy, but the power behind them... THE DARKNESS/EVIL that is spyros' nemesis, it has to be, or its world dominance or Cynder for only telling him her true feelings at the end of TLoS, It can also be a hoard of any enemy know to dragons.
