(please read) original trilogy or new trilogy???

Hey guys i need some input on which trilogy you like better and what you think makes the difference between the 2. For those of you that don't know the trilogies i am referring to are the original (spyro the dragon, spyro 2 riptos rage, spyro year of the dragon) and the legend of spyro trilogy (a new beggining, eternal night, dawn of the dragon). I have only played the original but i have watched the legend timeline on youtube and am planning on getting them soon. My personal opinion is that the only difference between the 2 is that the legend of spyro trilogy has more story and depth in the characters and to whats going on around them (and sparx can talk). i dont know yet which i prefer but with your help i will be able to make up my mind.

I prteffer the old but if you wan't to get TLOS i say get Anb and TeN do NOT get DotD for the love of all thats holey just DONT!!!! D:

Dawn of the Dragon was [is] a great game. I say get them all. I still play
the old ones along with Dawn of the Dragon [Now I like to fly around
aimlessly in DotD and listen to calming music].

A joker? No ... I honestly like the game. It's not just a bunch of trash. I
was actually glad to see some form of flight in this game that was different
than the old series. I also like the Valley of Avalar. So I just go there and
fly around. Sometimes I do that while talking to my Xbox Live friends.

I supppose I like the flying, too. In TLoS, Spyro finally has the big dragon characteristic he has been missing; better flight. tongue

Flying? More like gliding off the air a bit. It had great potential, but it was really rushed and spoilt. It could have been so much better, as could have DOTD. hmm

Anyhow, I say old trilogy, mainly because the games had so much to do and weren't so linear like TLOS. I've played all the TLOS games, but I find them 'one time only' games with little to return to (except DOTD, because man oh man, not even ETD has as many glitches as DOTD. I mean that in a good way, by the way, as I love exploring glitches).

Hey ... I like glitches. Especially Halo 2 with all of the super jumps and
getting outside of the map; it was all fun. Sometimes my friends on Xbox
Live and I spend hours trying out new glitches and exploring outside of the
maps and getting inside of solid objects where you can shoot out but not in.

The flying was crapp. they made it out like it was over trees. then why the f*** can't i go over the trees. it was added on and they ruind it by restricting it way to much.

The greatest level to fly in would be avalar and the ruins of the temple.

I go for new. I love the story to it. It's epic too. And I like the characters. I recommend (spell right?) the new, but you can still try old as well.

IMO try the old first.

well...actually thats MY opinion, if you like simple fun platforming with LOTS of minigames and worlds to see, get the old.

If you like gothic surroundings ((Mainly TeN)) and temples as jungles actuall battles stuff like that, go for the new, personally i liked the first 2 of the new games ((Ten and AnB for da PS2)) but the little uns ((Not meaning you guys lol)) but a lot of the younger audiance seem to LOVE DOTD.

First of all, I'm not putting down the series I didnt put in for the series I like, I'm just saying which one showed the most fun, memories and examples from reviews, so here we go.

I enjoyed the original series because it gave me memories from my early childhood, and got alot of good reviews(well the PS1 titles did)

The LoS series was just boring for me, it was darker, and it got lower scores in reviews than the original trilogy did
