Re: David Spade/Billy West
I like futurama. and Billy West played the voice of the Murphy character in the Rayman Games. Honestly I didn't care that David Spade was doing Sparx voice. And I bet the biggest reason he isn't doing it again is because he doesn't want to. Although I still hope Elijah Wood is still voicing Spyro.
Actually, Dejablue, the real reason David Spade is not voicing Sparx this time around isn't because he didn't want to do the role it has more to do with other film engagements. David has a film coming up and he had to get ready for that so it conflicted with this role. David, like Elijah, Oldman and Summer all have a contractual deal for all 3 games.
So don't worry everyone, Cree Summer will be playing Cynder's voice until the end of the trilogy. The same goes for Spyro and Ignitus. They have no intention of changing out the cast from what I have been told. David being replaced by Billy West was totally unexpected.

Re: David Spade/Billy West
Eh, I didn't really like Elijah Wood's voice as Spyro. Seemed boring to me. I would definetly prefer voices such as Tom Kenny's, who was great.
Cree Summer was a perfect fit for Cynder. I'm curious Billy West, though I'm sure he'll do fine.
I didn't like Elijah as Spyro either. It was boring. Also, it was really generic sounding in the first part of the game when one of the apes trapped Sparx in a cage and Spyro yelled. It was pretty corny...

Re: David Spade/Billy West
I liked Elijah Wood as Spyro. He made him sound like a determined hero, even though his voice was a bit boring. I also liked Tom Kenny a lot, too, but I am a bit skeptical with Billy West.
I definitely loved Cynder as Cree Summer. I think Cree is perfect for all of those smooth voiced female villains. She was awesome.

Billy West has a good voice for Sparx. It's definitely different though...

Re: David Spade/Billy West
Billy West as a much better Sparx. I wanted to strangle Sparx in ANB because I just hated his voice so much. Don't get me wrong, I like David Spade, he's a funny guy, but he really didn't care about this part, put no effort into it, and it shows. Billy West also has a lot more experience than David Spade. He is, after all, a professional voice actor and has been so for over a decade.
Gary Oldman and Elijah Wood really surprised me with how good they played their parts in ANB and I'm glad they're back for TEN. Usually (as prooven by David Spade and the entire Shrek franchise) professional actors make terrible voice actors. But these guys didn't play themselves, they genuinely took on the roles of Ignitus and Spyro.
Does anyone know if Cree Summer is officially voicing Cynder? I'm pretty sure she is (because the woman voices every black character who's ever been animated), but it'd be nice to know for sure. She, too, did a great job with Cynder but, like Billy West, she's an old hand at voice acting. She did the voice for Dulcy the dragon in the Sonic SatAM.

Re: David Spade/Billy West
I am not entirely sure if cree summers will voice cynder in the game. Near the end of the trailer I saw the name "Mae Whatson", an indication that she might voice cynder in TEN.

Re: David Spade/Billy West
I imagine she will play Cynder again, and I don't know why all her characters are black...Perhaps because she herself is black

Haha. At least Cree did pretty good as Cynder.
Anyways, who's Mae Whatson? I've never heard of her..
I even Googled her and.. I definitely did not get what I was looking for..

Re: David Spade/Billy West
Spyro_loves_me, search "Mae Whitman'(not whatson) on wikipedia. It has a whole profile about her filmography. She voices Katara in Avatar series & Yuffie Kisaragi in Kingdom Hearts 2 and Final Fantasy: Dirge of Ceberus.

Re: David Spade/Billy West
Aww, sadness. While I like Mae, it's starting to look like she will be voicing Cynder (unless there are other young dragons or another adult female dragon in the game *hope, hope*) and I will very much miss Cree as her voice.

Re: David Spade/Billy West
Ah! That helps.
I see now. I remember seeing Mae on a couple other shows, like Grey's Anatomy. Don't remember much of her though.
I'm sure her voice will suit Cynder well, but I really liked Cree as Cynder.
