Some of them have valid points. I don't really like to throw $60 down the toilet, so I always check to see what kind of reviews games get. I make sure to check multiple sites to get a wider picture, but usually when a large group of people from different sites agree that something is bad, they're right.

Like Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.
Gamespot gave it a good review whilst IGN's was poor.
I ended up agreeing with IGN. The game sucked. <.<

It was obvious they put a lot of effort into it. Considerably long, lots of collectables, playable characters other than Spyro, minigames, extras, great graphics, puzzles...
Music wasn't all that great though.
well lets be honist they don't rate games down for its music now do we? XD
anyway i think its a sence of "ITS SPYRO EWW LETS KILL IT CXAZ EVERY1HATES IT!!!" type crap.
there are MANY excspamples of this i mean FF i played FFX and...its medicor...not all the good so where the hype for Final fantisys comes from its beyond me...
