Spyro the Dragon "Speedrunning" Tournament
Hey everyone, I know I havnt been here for a while, but I wanted to alert everyone on a tournament im making for youtube. I know most of you probably can't compete or don't want to, but I just want to see if anyone is interested.
And personally I don't call this advertising as Im not doing this for myself, I am doing it for all the people who want to compete in the Spyro the Dragon video games.
To know what it's all about, watch this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP4B4TVnJMA
You'll need a microphone, a way to record your TV/emulator (Video camera's accepted), skype, to know how to splitscreen, to know basic video editing and the knowledge of the rules.
To splitscreen in windows movie maker, here is a tutotial:

What is a "Multiplayer Speedrun"?
Its basicly a race through a certain portion of a game (or the whole game if you really want to). Competitors start from the same position at the same time and race to a certain point as quick as possible. This can be something like 12 eggs in Spyro 1, or Evening Lake in Spyro 3. Competitors record their videos and send it to another competitor to splitscreen, sync and upload.
Its much less complicated than it sounds, heres a video of a example of one:

If you wanna sign up, post a comment in the comments on the youtube video and send me a 5 second video of anything splitscreened.
We will play ALL Spyro games for the tournament, not just the originals.
For more information, watch the video

Yeah well thats what the problem is. I dont think too many people on ths forum have experiences with recording.
You'll need a camera or some other way to record, yeah. If you have skype, add mine : Crasnex

I think I'll pass. But it does sound fun. It seems too complicated for me,
and I need to be worrying about college right now.

Re: Spyro the Dragon "Speedrunning" Tournament
If anyone is worrying, you wont be doing speedruns all winter/summer. Youll proably do around 3/4/5 for the tournament. Its not very time consuming.
