Concerning 'fannon' (TLoS version)

Well, I'm starting up this small thread in order to see if i can truly work something out here with the people who are still in this fandom. Before I begin, I want to ask you guys to not start any conflict or anything in this thread. I do hope everyone is civilized enough here, and that things will go smoothly. Please pay attention to the fact that this is the TLoS version of this thread. Anyone who truly has something against this version of Spyro, or has not played the games at all does not have to participate. These people can begin the Classic Spyro version of this thread; in fact, I hope you do.

So this is something that has been done with many other fandoms, such as Hetalia and I think Death Note (Mostly done with the fandoms for animes, but i think it could work out here). The rules are pretty simple. I will first place a set of questions on what could be seen as fannon, along with my own answers to the questions. To work this out you simply have to take the questions and answer them yourself. The first part is pretty self explanatory.

As for what you do after that, well simple! You read other's answers with much tolerance, and begin to discuss the points. If things work out, we could get a lot of cool ideas about what is head cannon, and what is known as generally fannon.

(To explain that last point: Fannon is a definition for something that is thought as true by the grand majority of the fandom, despite the fact that its not really cannon. Head cannon is something that is mmore true o you and you alone.)

Well, let's get started!

1. Lets start simple. Define Spyro's attitude, followed by defining Cynder's.

Well, according to me Spyro is the kind of character that is noble and just as much as he is innocent and naive. The dragon always appears to be lost about certain things, and his innocent self causes him to see the a much kinder world than most. We can think that this attitude of his is due to the fact that he was quite sheltered in the dragonfly temple.

Despite that, Spyro's a born warrior and a great fighter. He loves to fight for justice, and all that is good.

As for Cynder, well she's kinda complex. The dragoness has gone through much, so to me i think she could be partially bipolar. She is naturally kind to all, and seeks nothing but to be known as a kind creature, but sometimes her other side gets to her. She can be very explosive, and will anger quickly; not to intensely though.

2. How was Cynder (Physically and emotionally) during her recuperation time in between ANB and TEN?

Well, I think Cynder was in a rather feverish state when it comes the the physical. She was probably constantly sick, and fell to a near death state. I believe that her transformation from being the Terror of the Skies, to being a small and weak whelping hit her hard health wise.

As for her state of mind, I believe that Cynder was in a constant battle with herself. I'm sure that the female still had some of that venom in her, and that a dark voice still spoke within. I might even go further to the point where I think that she might have even attacked Spyro out of pure rage at times. I feel as if she lost control at times, and that she could fall back to that dark self mentally.

But due to this, she was always ashamed of herself. She thought of herself as weak, and sunk any pride or happiness deep within.

3. This is a touchy topic, but lets work this out. Spyro x Cynder, fannon, cannon? and your personal opinion of this pairing?

Well, I think everyone knows what i think here. I honestly think SxC is cannon due to what was given to us in the game, but many disagree. I am most defiantly a fan of this pairing, and I love to play around with it to a full extent. I think they're a great couple, and one of the cutest pout there! ^_^

Well here's the first three questions that you guys can answer. You can develop each one greatly, so I'll leave it a that for now. Besides that, let's start answering! And please, if any of you have a question we can add, place it in your post. But please do not answer it until I set it up. This is in order to keep... well... order...

From what I've seen there's more pointing at them being "close friends" or a "pairing" then as just casual friends. The end of DotD really takes the cake for me.

Lol, yeah. haha they have to be at least close friends. I mean from what Cynder said you can't really interpret anything else.

Through your got to see that some things will make Spyro Crack....Let's say more people die...Reaction of jumping into a bit of fire doesn't make sense...Dark or not.

Eh. The way I see Spyro x Cynder is much like how I think of Mari X Jowee in Drawn to Life. It can be considered canon I guess, but I'm not fond of it and it could do without it.

It's not like Spyro has any other choice of female dragons so I think he's kinda stuck getting use to the pairing wink

I hope they scrap the pairing TBH. I see no link appart from "He's a boy dragon and she's a girl Dragon" I mean prehaps if there was more relationship development in TeN, but there was'nt then in DOTD ((When cynder had a personallity Transplant)) She's just crying going "Im only doing this for me not you!" half way through then in the last 4 cutsceans they finally realise there in love? It just never made sence to me so I just hope they sort out Cynders personallity and make the just friends for awhile then see how they will develop.

It makes way more sense for a romantic relationship to be resisted by Spyro. He always has avoided these situations. In fact, it's more entertaining IMO to see Spyro running away from his crushes. However, LoS Spyro has yet to show what he wants to do.

And as for the lack of interaction between the characters until DotD, that can somewhat be dismissed by one of TEN's promotional videos. And I would vouch that this represents best what most fans miss from what Cynder was. To me, it's her best dialogue in the trilogy--And it's not even in the game!!

Still not quite sure what Spyro meant when he said, "not again!"

I'm still waiting for Cynder to apologize. She owes them big time!!

Point being...

I think that Cynder had a lot goin for her and then DotD happened and then BAM, personality change. So I hated her and that game becuase I really felt like that it sucked. Spyro is a Gary Stu, and is easily one of the less developed characters. to put it bluntly: I see it as a friendship at most, and hre saying 'I love you' could be one sided. Fanon.

Doesn't matter..I may support the pairing but i can use that one sided thing, My low fanfic's have a habit of having a forced relationship by chaotic villain

And yeah, I love that video you put up, it is awesome! I mean it does give us a little more of an insider of Cynder during her transition stage.

That vid does not conflict with my theory though, and I still think Cynder was rather feverish during that stage, as i said before.

Granted his main reason for the one sided thing himself is he really doesn't give a crap, he still thinks she is vital for the next generation of this purple dragon's bloodline.

IMO, if SpyroxCynder is canon, Spyro has pretty low standards.

I dislike most fan-made OCs, but there are a few good ones, such as Zephyr of the Spyro fandom, who has a distinct personality and appearance, and Zoonik (not of Spyro universe), a Sonic OC that has a terrible color scheme and is a mix of Sonic, Tails, and Zool. He is actually in Jazz Jackrabbit as a boss. I like the character because he was Epic's prediction of the future Sonic OCs, which are poorly recolored templates.
