Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
Which is why as soon as my company gets the money, we are going to buy Spyro from them. What better people to give Spyro to then people who know exactly what the fans would want and need? Blizzard won't do anything with Spyro until someone buys the franchise anyway, and I do swear that I will be one of those people.

Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
You'd be spending alot of money. More then Spyro had to pay Moneybags. I suggest you be "in house" developer. You'd save alot and if you did take Spyro I'd have to work with you.

Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
This would be totally awesome!! But make it downloadable, for people who can't afford the membershiip ,but we can buy the full membership.
Mix it into the old and new Spyro, because I will miss Cynder! Make characters like Spyro and Cynder ect. in parts of the world where we can sk them for quests and battle training and stuff like that. We start with the fire element but we can train the others. The money is gems and we can use it at stores for armor, weapons, some portals and ect.
You can get your own cave (house) and buy furniture to improve your cave, you can upgrade it to make it larger and spawn crystals to bash it for more gems once a day and give it a cool feeling.
You can choose male or female, Spyro shape (more rounder nose/mouth ) and Cynder (more triangular shaped and a bigger head.). You can choose amount of horns (min 2, max 8.) and the shape (curly like Terradore's, straight, plain like Cynder's ect.) And color of all body parts and eyes, type of tails ect.
Just suggestions ;-)

Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
If you're company did buy Spyro, which is fairly unlikely (sorry), you'd couldn't have a free download of a MMORG. It'd be too much to buy Spyro AND make a MMORG, the latter of which costs tens of millions of dollars to make.
Sorry, I'm just thinking realistically here. Maybe you'd be better off just making games if you ever did get him.

Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
I really hope you follow through with this! It's an awesome idea.
And I agree with the levelling thing, I always got bored with MMORPGs for that very reason.
And I like both versions of the Spyro games, so seeing old characters show up in a new style is definitely something I'd like to see. (I was really disappointed that they hadn't re-introduced characters like Bianca and Sgt. Byrd when they had re-introduced Hunter.)

I like the idea and I hope that you can one day realize its potential. This idea has been tossed around but I'm sure that it would find some manner of support in the ORG world.

Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
Well its still an idea in progress, but so far its still at the same point as it is. However for the PC versions it would have the option of either playing for free, where you just get the main game, or paying to get extra stuff thats there just enhance game experience without making it seem unfair to others, since games that offer that option usually offer stuff that gives players that pay an advantage over the players that play for free. Among those features would be a possibility of players making their own servers and customizing it fully, like a map maker or something so that each server could be different. Though I dunno whether or not to restrict access to these custom servers to people who pay or something. These servers would also allow usage of the PCCC I mentioned on the first page, to an extent depending on the server's settings.
Graphics wise, for PC I would want players to still play even if they don't have a top-of-the-line computer. Available graphics options would be DX9, DX10, and DX11, with the graphics quality changing depending on the version. So you can still play using DX9, but it wouldn't look as beautiful as say DX11 with all its options turned on.
And in the meantime I got dragged into WoW. >_> Ever since they updated it, its been better then last time I played it in the past. But still, I will set out to make DRO better then WoW.

Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
Never could get into WoW, but I don't have any problem playing some Star Trek Online. Unfortunately in the wonderful world we live in a game is only developed to support heavy graphics, hence why the computer industry continues to grow and support a vast amount of heavy duty computers. Either way you can get a generally powerful computer for five hundred dollars or so these days, but if you want something heavy duty you better be ready to pay around a grand or so. Better yet just have someone make you computer, that's a good way to go so long as you know who's doing it.

Re: Spyro: Dragon Realms Online
Which is why I am going to allow the option of choosing between DX9, DX10, and DX11 so that everyone can play no matter what their graphic cards are. Though DX11 will be more amazing and beautiful, as it is seen in this youtube video for this engine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9F6zSgtRnkE
Gameplay is more of a concern then graphics, though graphics will make the game more amazing. As in, imagine Legend of Spyro with DX11 graphics. Now that would be amazing.
