The thing with huge worlds is that it sometimes gets really boring and tedious just to get to one place to the next.It also doesn't give you enough progression because theres so much to explore,i like exploration as much as the next guy but i'll take progression over immersion any day.

I'm never in a hurry to complete any game first time through, because I know I only get to have a first experience playing the once through. I like to play Spore, but the first time playing it was the best because you don't know the shortcuts in the game that make it easier.

Re: What are you hoping this game ISNT?
I don't play video games much these days. So I don't like a game where it will take a while to progress from place to place. That doesnt mean I don't like challenge (However, in purely linear games, excessive challenge is unwanted)

I agree ratchet.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Re: What are you hoping this game ISNT?
I like big worlds, but it is easy to get lost. I got minecraft, and it is a pain to find my way back to my main tower. And those worlds are infinite.
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.
