Reboot #2 - Game Over!!!
Well, what can I say. I knew Spyro was screwed the minute Activision got their greed hands on him. I bet my upcoming Spyro: Legacy of Ages Film trilogy is starting to look really good about now. Face it everyone, Spyro does not have a future as long as he is owned by these business types. But then again I said many months ago when I was more active in the community and had more free time that my contacts were telling things were not looking so good inside Activision. I told you guys the franchise was in trouble but nope did anyone listen to me...
Lucky for all of you I am still making the Spyro films. Production is still ongoing and will be until it is done. In fact, if you guys are interested in seeing what the 17 year old movie Spyro will look like I hope you will keep an eye on my deviantart account for big unveiling of the movie poster in the next few months.
If anyone is still interested in Legacy of Ages then let me know on my still active Deviantart account. Also, please ask our beloved forum owner to please re-open my Legacy of Ages forum here so I can update it with the latest info and behind the scenes images from the upcoming films. At this point the films may be the only hope the franchise has of surviving. And no I am not kidding... I am dead serious.
As for this disaster in the making I personally have no comment left to make as I will not be wasting my money on it. Congratulations, Activision, you managed to do what Sierra failed to do and finally kill off my favorite dragon. Thanks alot, you greedy -beeps-....

Re: Reboot #2 - Game Over!!!
Sorry, but I'm going to have to express some major doubts here....
The fact is nothing seemed to be getting done with the project. It's been years since you introduced it and we've seen nothing more than concept art and promises that there'd be more later which were never fulfilled. And now I hear you're making a Guardians of Ga'hoole fan movie as well. If you're so busy all the time that you couldn't even update your section of the forum yourself half the time, how do you expect to take on all these projects?
So, I'm sorry, but I doubt the Legacy of Ages forum will be reopened to the public until there is actual evidence that it's being worked on. You're free to make a thread for your project in any of the creative sections of the forum around here like everyone else, though.

Let me correct you on the GoG issue. It is not a movie at all. It is a story idea I plan to work on in the future. The only film projects I am actively working on are the Spyro: Legacy of Ages films and two original franchise launch films I am not revealing anything about for the time being.
Now, you keep on going on and on about the evidence issue. Well, allow me to put this stupid evidence issue to bed once and for all time by saying you already have been given the evidence. The fact that I am still around and talking about the films are proof enough that I am 100% serious. When I go silent and stop talking about Legacy of Ages then and only then will the project be truly dead and gone. So I suggest a little support would be greatly appreciated instead of scorn and pointless doubt. We are all fans here and want to see our beloved purple dragon be given the respect he rightfully deserves. This new game is not respecting the character. It is destroying him. Legend of Spyro did a little damage but nowhere near what this train wreck will cause.
Now, you and many others have already seen artwork, even if it was conceptual at the time it was shown, it was still artwork. I even gave you guys actual 3d background tests from the actual film itself. And despite all this I am still hearing this nonesense 'Give us proof or evidence' comment after all this time. You guys seem to want me to rush this film out to you but that is not going to happen. What my company is trying to do is not only revive Spyro but to take him in a new direction that honors his past origins. What we are attempting to do is not easy or cheap and considering the current state the franchise is in... I think it would be better to take our time and do it right for a change.
You want more evidence then you will soon get your wish but until then I want this doubt parade to be put on ice. Is that clear? What my company is doing is more then Activision is attempting. We actually care about the franchise. They are only trying to profit off it. They don't really care how they profit as long as they profit. I keep saying this over and over again and yet it is still not sinking in. The proof of what they are doing is obvious. Being a loyal fan doesn't mean we have to accept this crap they keep giving us. How much longer are you guys going to keep putting up with them giving you subpar games and merchandise. The fans are going to have speak out and tell them what they REALLY want them to do. Otherwise, we might as well as dig a hole and throw Spyro in it because that is exactly what they are doing. You know what, I am not even going to bother trying to convince you guys to speak out anymore.
All I will say is that the films are coming so just stay tuned...
----------------------------------
Not all us are overreacting and hating on the new design like it's the end of the world the others are being dramatic about...
And jamieque, you think your films will draw a lot of attention? They're still fan-made...
Uh, what is your point, Aura24? By the way I am not overreacting. I am simply stating a fact that is all. And my comment is not about Spyro's new appearance but about the total lack of respect for the fan base the owners of the franchise have by doing what appears to be a 2nd reboot. They think that just because they have all these award winning writers and whoever else they could dig up that they are giving us a quality product. Well, I personally think they are only doing this only to try and maximize their profit. They don't care about Spyro for his potential. They only care about how much profit they believe they can get out of him. And I am sorry to sound so cold and blunt but that is the harsh truth. Spyro is nothing to them but a business. They also don't care about us the fans either. The proof is in the pudding. If they think I am going to spend $320 or slightly less money on buying all the toys just so I can play an Eye of Judgement type game they are out of their freaking minds. Especially in this economy. They should have made Spyro movie years ago but they never thought he was good enough until the Legend games and then they screwed that up.
As for your question on whether my films will draw a lot of attention.... hmm... I think the answer is a very easy, 'YES, THEY WILL!' Why? Well because they take Spyro beyond his now stagnant video gaming roots and into new territory with an actual advancing plotline instead backtracking. I don't know about you but I am tired young Spyro. I want a much more mature older Spyro and the same applies to his adventures and storyline. It is way past time for Spyro to grow up. His fanbase is outgrowing him and that is usually a bad thing for a franchise like this one. If Activision can't see this then they are fools.

What's your deviantART account c:
It is jamieque.deviantart.com. I will uploading newer artwork as well as the long awaited first glimpse at the film versions of each of the 6 main heroes of the film.
Who are they?
Well, they are 17 year old Spyro, 17 year old Flame, 16 year old Ember, Hunter, Bianca and Elora.
Interesting Film Facts:
1. The characters of Hunter and Bianca are engaged to get married in the future in the film.
2. Plus, the film will introduce us to a even more badass older version of the slightly altered (design-wise) original Spyro.
3. Ember and Flame will also be more developed in the film.
4. The new storyline that will be told in the 3 films are just the beginning of a bigger future plot... *hint*

Re: Reboot #2 - Game Over!!!
Nothing I said was intended to "rush" you. You use this excuse every time someone asks for samples of your work. It just seems like it shouldn't be too much trouble to show us what you're working on. When we ask to see anything you just complain that our "pointless doubting" is bringing you and your "company" down. And no, the fact that you're still here isn't proof of anything. Anyone could declare that they're going to make the best fan movie ever, keep putting it off for years, insist that they're still working on it, and complain whenever a perfectly reasonable request for evidence shows up.
Believe me, I'd like to believe you're actually doing this, but I've seen no proof other than the fact that you say you are. That's not enough for me to believe it.
And Aicebo has a point; this isn't really about Skylanders.... Closing this now; feel free to make another topic in one of the other sections.

Re: Reboot #2 - Game Over!!!
As Stormy mentioned before, the whole rather large lack of evidence or activity did stifle many users interest in fan films and such. Now, I for one greatly studied your works on Fanfiction and it was without a doubt something that really helped me out when I tried my hand at writing, so I sure as heck want to believe that you are committed do doing what you're doing.
The board for Legacy of Ages was disabled and remains so simply because of the lack of any activity seen towards it. If you are still working on it then more power to you, but this is clearly not the section to be posting such things within. This is about the Skylander Spyro and how god awful horrible it's going to be.
If you want to load up the rifle and unleash your thoughts on the game right here then by all means go for it, but don't advertise your fan made films in this section if you can.
