I want a Legend Of Spyro DOTD continuation!

Ive said it before, and i'll say it again! DOTD ended with too much of a cliff hanger to be over! I don't care what anyone else thinks! My loyalty lies with The Legend Of Spyro serise. I want to see spyro and cynder grow old together! I want to see spyro or cynder juniors! Malafores death was'nt final enough! I want to see him crushed! or burned! Or maybe turn... good?... O_O . As it says in my signature, witch i will soon change to stand out more, Long Live the Legend of Spyro!!

I used to disagree with the point that the storyline had too many holes. But, honestly, it did. It could've been told way better. But Activision failed us THEN. The ending also left a hole which can be mistaken for a hint to continue the series. So unfortunately, it does end there.

The only solution to this is fan fiction and role playing.

Quick example to roleplaying being Avarian! ...I just wanted to bring that up since you mentioned roleplaying. But ya, I do wished it continued too, but unless someone remakes the Legend of Spyro series, it won't be I guess.

I think he's talking about the fact that all we see of Spyro & Cynder is that they fly across the screen. And then Ignitus can't find them in the Books of Time. Nobody knows where they are and a sequel could consist of them returning or taking on adventures in other lands.

For all we know, Activision could've used the end of DotD as a diving board the for future storylines. But there's just no proof of anything.

I guess it's left up to the fanfics. Unfortunately, many of those have failed. There's a possibility that the series could end in a different series. I think it would be great if the Spyro universe was officially connected to a different series. Maybe the Earth of TLOS is the same Earth in TLOZ. Or maybe it's in the Lylat System (StarFox). Or the Aniverse (Bucky O'Hare), or the unnamed galaxy in Jazz Jackrabbit. Ending The Legend of Spyro that way could revive the other franchises, and could unite the fans of those franchises.

All and all I was surprised that they didn't continue with it, but at the same time I wasn't. They wanted to bring it in a new direction and focus on the younger generation that can be more easily swayed towards poking for something despite the increased price. If you are looking for that continuation then you might as well head over to fanfiction because that's the only place you're going to get it. From here on out it appears to be Skylander's Universe.

Honestly, I expected Spyro's Kingdom to be an LOS 4. I had a nice discussion with an LOS fan on Youtube (vgman94) about possible ideas for an LOS 4. Man, our ideas would make an awesome Spyro game! A true combination of the old and new gameplay, with the combat system of The Elder Scrolls tongue

Anyway, my dream is over and done with. So is LOS. AdventureSOFT, it's not like The Legend of Spyro is the ONLY series to have ended so suddenly. Has anyone who reads this post ever heard of this game?:

The ending had the big boss pig saying to Tombi, "We'll meet again!". But a third Tombi/Tomba was never made and is unlikely to ever be made. I got over it and you will get over LOS being finished.
Just be grateful that you have the entire trilogy of your favoured series. Tombi didn't even finish its story arc. Remember that for next time, m'kay? roll

You and me both my friend. I hav tried a number of times to speak to Dan from "one of swords" and he thinks I'm nothing more than an upset fan. Dan is someone who works for activision. I know that there a plenty more fans that feel the same as you and I. I even posted a poll and my fanfic profile asking weather pople want the Legend series or kids stuff. So fare all 20 people choose the legend. Why not put a poll on here as well? Maybe if Dan see's just how manypeople want the Legend series back than maybe he will inform someone and they will make he right choice and stop using gimmicks. I actualy have an Idea for what would happen after "Dawn Of The Dragon."

I played the first Tomba demo on my PS1 when I was young. I thought it
looked like a cool game, but never got around to owning it. So I just played
the demo a lot while trying to figure out where to go and what to do.

TWEWY charcters will be(and hopefully only be in) in Kimgdom Hearts 3D. Though i do agree with you that they are just milking the series to death.

What would the in-game story be anyway? I doubt Spyro would be arched to go back to warfang and listen to the Elders all day.

It make more sense he live in the remains of the old temple or away from the world along with cynder and sparx.

In my opinion, Activision should continue with TLoS series, and with all the fanfics out there, there's plenty of ideas, heck, they could have a contest with thousands of contestents.

The problem with Activison is that they don't really care about the fans or at least not the older generation who i suppose they see as traitors to them since most of us refuse to even play Skylanders let alone buy it. they want money and to make money you target a specific audience, they chose the impressionable kiddies who will wail and brow beat their parents into buy an overpriced toy just to play a game that should never have been made.

i mean have you seen the price of those things there around $13 a piece and the three pack is about $25 but you usually end up with at least one that you already had in the first place and if you buy it because you can't find a specific one in a single pack then you just wasted your money. and don't think that those greedy pigs at activison haven't thought of that marketing strategy cause you know that they have. in short they are jerks of the highest caliber.

i know Spyro was made by a company, and companies exist primarily to make money, but there was something different about Spyro, something that brought enchantment to the eyes of kids, rather than incite materialism-induced programming. he's nothing to them now.

Well you could argue that seeing as Spyro was a new IP for a relatively small game developer that it had more "heart" in it then the later games.
