Spyro web comic?
With the many fan made games and upcoming movie I am starting to think about leaving my mark among the spyro fan base with a web comic that I was thinking about making. Originaly it was going to be a fanfic but I have decided that I might want to take it a step further. I have already drawn out all of the main characters multible times and have the story planed out as well. All that is needed is the tools( scanner and photoshop) which I will ask for when my birthday rolls around this november. Oh and for all the anime fans out there it is going to be done an an anime-like style. So if you want to see me take on this project after I get the nessicary tools(Scanner/Photoshop) then you can tell me hear as I have no idea how to make a poll.

Re: Spyro web comic?
I would help you scan pictures, but no one can ever reveal their adress on the web, so I can't really do anything about it.
What can I say? I just love video games! But I happily don't let them control my life. Let that be a lesson to you

Re: Spyro web comic?
This sounds like a great idea! Actually, you can use the GIMP which is like Photoshop but legally free.
Oh, and Fungeek, people getting other people's addresses that they know online is more common than you'd think. Yes, it is unsafe, but people do it in order to mail things and stuf. Certainly that wouldn't work for a webcomic though.

Re: Spyro web comic?
Surly you could fax the comics over? Or maybe borrow a friend's printer that has a scanner. I have one like that.
I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: Spyro web comic?
Um, DragonFireOKN, you realize that you are suggesting plagiarism, right? If someone is going to make a comic or something like that, they either need to use their own ideas or talk to fellow fans/artists/whatever who might be interested in working with them on the project. Just taking someone else's idea and making a comic or whatever out of it without asking is one of the most uncool things anyone can do. It's art theft and it's wrong.

Holy crud, SR, you're name is moving?! o.O
Er, anyways... Anyone who puts their own ideas to paper is a real artist. I suppose I fit the category, then. *goes back to doodling synthetic muse girl*

Re: Spyro web comic?
Interesting...but I am going to basie it loosly off fo the ANB storyline but the layout is still good. .......Also if anybody is interested in the plot I have two ideas and I will show you the previews of bolth once I get a scanner and I will let you vote on which story you like better. The first story is very, very looslely baised on the ANB storyline and is divided into two sepreat parts, one part will be about the past and will not feature Spyro except as a baby and the other will feture an older spyro as the main character and he will have to face two threats, one phiscial and one inside his own self....but I can't tell you what that is. The two parts will be heavly conected but I cannot tell you how because that will spoil the plot.
The second is my Future era/Vilenex city plot in which dragonworld is rueled covered in a massive city and is ruled by a mysterious tyrant simply known as The Overlord( originanly he was called The Master but I changed it to Overlord due to the name simmilarity to the Dark Master form ANB) There is however a rebeilon but it is faring quite badly so they call in an all to familure hero to aid them. This one will have a big twist at the end that I cannot spoil eather and is conected to the first plot in a big way that will serve as a big big twist. So I will do bolth plots if you like but I am not sure which one to do first.

Re: Spyro web comic?
Razz, SR is right, i wouldnt suggest plagerism, im an artist and ive had do deal with that at school alot, it sucks when someone steals your idea. i meant you could maybe see how comics are written if you're just getting started.

Re: Spyro web comic?
Oh! Yeah, that makes sense. Sorry for the misunderstanding, DragonFireOKN.
I would suggest looking at actual webcomics for ideas on how to make them. dA is sort of a grab bag: you get a few good suggestions and a lot of bad ones.

Um... I do not catch your drift. I'm one of the most inobservant people alive. About as subtle as a bulldozer, and can't take a hint unless it's not actually a hint but a brick thrown my way.
