Re: Nintendo-Difference's Interview about Skylanders with Executive Producer
I like the idea of the game as it is, but if I were in charge, there would be more pre-existing characters from the 90's. It would make it seem like a nostalgia trip (like the Smash Bros. games), rather than a generic platformer with Spyro's name slapped on it.
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

One word: Money. They have to make a certain amount of cash for a video game to be considered "worth making." A nostalgia trip works for Nintendo because it's so succesful, but Spyro's fanbase isn't so large, so Activision has to market Skylanders to little kids who've probably never heard of Spyro before. Spyro Smash Bros. is still a nice idea in theory, though...
Also it's worth mentioning that I heard somewhere from a link on this forum that a Dark Spyro toy comes with the 3DS version, so maybe we WILL get some old characters.
[https://www.fanfiction.net/u/5597209/spashthebandragon] I've got fanfics for Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Frozen, and Spectacular Spider-Man. Err, separately, I mean. Not some weird crossover thing. Those are all separate fanfics.
