Rurikredwolf got me into MLP... and I bloody hate him for it. Adam, because of you I am STILL drawing freakin' ponies! D:

Yeah, I do enjoy the show though. And this is coming from someone who isn't afraid to admit that they were a fan of the original series. I liked trying to find out what all the names of the poines were and me and my sister had LOADS of the toys, still do actually, though I think they're in the loft. My favourite ponies back then were Paradise (Pegasus), Sweet Stuff (Earth) and Fizzy (Unicorn).

As for now? My favourite is probably Rainbow Dash, though Pinkie Pie is absolutely mental.

Is "Friendship is Magic" the only My Little Pony season in the series?
Why aren't there any guns? Swords? Slingshots? No weapons?

generations 1-3.5 sucked. The current generation is completely different, as if someone just slapped the name My Little Pony on an amazing cartoon and turned most of the characters into ponies. There is no threat to your manliness, and it may even make you manlier.

I wouldn't even say the first generation MLP cartoons were all that bad.

And before MLPFiM came along, the best MLP cartoon was probably My Little Pony Tales. It was Hasbro's first attempt at anthropomorphic ponies.

Catchy isn't it?

But these are ancient. The more recent MLP cartoons took a creepy turn, as did some other cartoon generations:

Later, they even created a MLP cartoon designed for learning babies. It's known as MLP's dreaded gen 3.5:

(brace yourselves, one should not play this next video if you are easily creeped out.)

And finally, MLP was rescued by Lauren Faust, when she helped create "Friendship is Magic" which debuted last October.

And best of all, there's more to come...

Perhaps it's best for a potential brony not to see anything before Generation 4. If Swaffy gets creeped out he's less likely to join the herd.

I think I'll just stick to guns, guitars, Spyro and Battlefield.

Tho I will admit that I've seen every episode up to the 17th. My curiosity
was destroying me. So far, the character "Fluttershy" is my only favorite
part of the show. It's probably because I'm a nature oriented person.

I don't think it scares anybody from being a 'potential brony.' If someone is turned off by older cartoons, then they probably wouldn't have given it a shot in the first place.

Besides, if Swaffy has seen 17 episodes, then I supposed he's given it enough chance for himself. Some people., the cartoon hits a soft spot, others don't see the significance.

Oh, I feel sick with laughter. Just watched half of episode 19 on youtube with their experimental voice-recognition subtitle software on, and the weirdest stuff comes up. A few examples:

My little pony -> Urinate over me.

No Twilight, you can. You can copy Rarity's gem-finding spell -> noreply like yeltsin you can copy very still finance them.

It's going to chafe, can't you loosen it? Ohh, it hurts, and it's so nasty! Why didn't you clean it first, it's going to leave a stain! -> q

That's wonderful -> 16, 94.
