Why? It just isn't spyro. I'd rather prefer a comeback, as in, use the original formula. That's why I still play spyro.

It's a spin-off Spyro game. You can't expect a spin-off Spyro game to stay true to either the Classic formula nor the Legend formula.

I'd like to see another Classic Spyro, too, but I don't want what could have been to detract from my enjoyment of what is. Plus I have doubts the current developers are good enough to make a worthwhile Spyro game using Classic's formula.

I would like to see a new Classic Spyro game as much as Spash The Bandragon else pick off where Year of The Dragon left off. But I don't think Insomniac Games has plans to make any anytime soon or maybe not ever again. Sadly. Wish someone could convince them too though.

And it would be cool of Naughty Dog made Crash Bandicoot games again.

Activision can pursue a good Classic Spyro game. Skylanders is just there to get Spyro back into the mainstream. I mean, none of my friends have even heard of LOS :-P

Well everyone has heard of a different Spyro people who saw him when the first Spyro game came up knew Classic Spyro. There are other people who grew up with TLOS. And their are people who might just be finding out about Spyro through Skylander's.

Ether way I wish Activision all the best. And I'm sure your right Jak they could make a great Classic Spyro which would be awesome! cool

Technically speaking, assuming Skylanders gets any sequels, it will be more akin to a a spin-off series like Legend of Spyro, not just any old party or racing spin-off.

Whether all Spyro games from now on will be Skylanders,Legend, or Classic (or a fourth continuity) has yet to be seen...

there was a section in this very spot about a movie, then it was removed. then "Spyro's Kingdom" was announced, but then renamed when the name "Skylanders" came out, as you can see in the URL to this section. (still named Spyro's Kingdom, lmao)

In fact, I could argue I won't buy this game due to the fact I haven't bought any console games recently. Haven't been interested very much in consoles.

Au contraire, I'm a PC player and I'm getting this game on the PS3. I swear this game will be on the PC too?

Spyro will come back to the Classic series eventually. Rayman went through the same thing. Most likely, there would be around six Skylanders games with Spyro in it and then Spyro would leave Skylanders.
