The Legend of Spyro’s Siblings Crossover: Voyage for the Fire Keeper

Hey guys! As promised, I am back to write my crossover fic of TLOSS. As of now I have the prologue ready for viewer's eyes. For a description of this story, see TLOSS Dusk and Shinneye, the final post. I will be updating in month intervals,  So, without further ado, here's to my cross over fix! Enjoy~

Prologue: The Withering Flame
Wind whistled through the sky, and raindrops splattered into the sea below the three flying guardians. In the lead was the green earth guardian, Terrador.

"Hold on, guardians!" His voice yelled above the leering wind of the storm. He blinked the water out of his eyes and attempted a landing down on the sandy beach below. The two following landed by his side, stumbling a bit from the wind. In front of them of the tiny island was a large rock, a gaping hole in it's center. The group trotted into the cavern, taking shelter in the darkness.

"I ask, Terrador, is this truly necessary?" The ice guardian, Cyril, queered, shaking his wings dry.

"Yes, I find this to be positively and irritably excessive and agonizing." Volteer, the lightning guardian, added.

"All of us here know it is." Terrador replied gruffly. "The Chronicler said he wanted to see us in flesh, not through the looking pool. He wanted us to come to the Celestial Caves."

" 'The Chronicler' ?" Cyril asked, giving him a quizzical look.

"He wishes us to call him by his proper name." Terrador explained. "He is no longer Ignitus. We all have to accept that."

"Of course." Cyril snorted. "Well, so be it. Care to lead?" Terrador nodded, walking into the open black until he vanished from sight. The other two followed closely. They stopped when they arrived at a large door.

"So you arrived." A voice, like the other's but with an ominous depth, asked.

"Indeed." Terrador spoke for them. "You wished to see us?"

"Yes. Thank you for braving the storm on my behalf. Come in, get warm. We have much to talk about." The door creaked open, revealing a circular room. All around it's circumference were shelves filled with books. In the center of the room is what appeared to be a giant hourglass.
"Welcome." A dragon paced out from behind the hourglass, his scales aglow with a blue aura. The guardians dipped their heads in a bow.
"Lift your heads, guardians of earth, ice, and lightning." The Chronicler addressed them, and they lifted their heads.
"Do sit." He gestured, sitting on his own haunches. The others obliged.
"Let's get straight to the matter." As he spoke, an incredibly thick and leathered-bound book hovered up from the shelf and over to the center of their circle formation, resting between them. The cover had a diamond embroidered on it, with four different glowing stones on each point.

"This book here is the Book of Guardians. It has all the recorded information of every guardian to have walked this realm." The pages flipped through, showing different dragons on each with a red, green, blue, or yellow background.

"Typically a guardian is selected through a series of elections, as new guardians tend to be elected around the same time. I think you all remember this, as I do. In the special and hidden region of Elemera, where dragons of all regions are called to vote. But this process was lengthy-often it lasted many months." The book flipped backward to a green page, with a dragon sketched that looked identical to Terrador. It turned itself, showing a blue page with Cyril. Then a yellow page with Volteer. Finally, it turned to a red page. But this page was blank, with no sketch or text at all. Terrador realized it was the only page of the entire book without a picture or writing, and also noticed the page to be slightly withered compared to the rest.

"Currently, there is no holder of fire. Thus, the realm is experiencing an imbalance. Should the imbalance remain, the fire element will wither away and our world will be flung into chaos."

"And what do you want us to do?" Terrador asked cautiously, deciding not to criticize him on his choice of leaving the guardians.

"Only occasionally, a single guardian will move on from their duties. When this happens it is a special case. Elemera is once again brought from it's mysterious location, but instead a 10 day voting trial takes place. At the night of the 10th day, the new guardian must be chosen or the element of fire will die out. This trial must happen immediately; I want all of you to send out the message to every dragon in every area about the trial. Every fire dragon must participate." The book closed itself and hovered back to it's shelf.

"We will prepare right away." Terrador announced, getting up onto all four paws.

"I wish you all luck." The Chronicler told them. He turned his head to look beyond them. "Take caution; Elemera is a strange realm. Once you enter it you cannot leave until the trial is over. Also, beyond the borders of the valley you are staying in are uncharted territories, and you must discourage everyone from venturing beyond. Another thing…" His eyes looked at the hourglass.

"Yes?" Terrador prompted. The Chronicler paused for a moment, then shook his head.

"I have a few concerns. However, I believe it's best not to voice them for now. Be brave and strong. Always remember you are guardians for a reason; and if necessary, demonstrate your power." The three nodded, and prepared to leave. First Cyril, then Volteer left the room without a word. Terrador was the last to go. He stopped walking halfway through the door and turned back his head, looking the Chronicler in this eyes.

"We will find a guardian." He assured with the dip of his head. "I promise to do everything in my power to ensure your seat is filled, old friend. I won't let the fire die."
……….
So there's the prologue! Chap 1 should be up in July, maybe sooner if I find the time to finish. I'm really looking forward to writing this story, as it is probably going to be one of my favorites to write. Hope you all enjoyed, and look forward to chap 1!
