It could work, but then why wouldn't they call the game "Crash and Spyro's Adventure?" Unless Crash is a surprise? Meh, I could see that working... hmm

[https://www.fanfiction.net/u/5597209/spashthebandragon] I've got fanfics for Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Frozen, and Spectacular Spider-Man. Err, separately, I mean. Not some weird crossover thing. Those are all separate fanfics.

Re: Raging Fanboys?

Crash, despite being the older and "better"(as some would say) chararacter of the two, Spyro is definitely more iconic.  Crash is just another spiky-haired mammal, and is more generic than the purple dragon.

The Elder Scrolls have changed mostly for the better. Note how I said "mostly". The developers have completely removed some features in the newer game Oblivion like no longer having "Cast On Use" enchantments on magical items and some spell effects have been removed. I do not miss spell effects such as Blind or Sound but I believe that certain effects like Poison and Levitate are very useful to my game experience. But anyway, I have fan-made mods for those spell effects which I miss regardless

Expect that Gameplay has always been the same, DOTD and Skylanders did a part in mixing it up

The new Elder Scrolls game Skyrim will mix up elements of both Morrowind and Oblivion. It has even been confirmed by the head producer himself.

And Skylanders does mix elements of LOS and Classic Spyro. Hmm, I wished for that ages ago.  smile

As much as I love Spyro, I would have to disargee.  Crash was out during the Playstation revolution two years before Spyro came, and Crash's later sequels continued his 'charm' that his fans loved, while Spyro's, well, you know...

Spyro kept the same charm for five console games but then it totally changed. The new Crash surprisingly has the same personality as in the ND ones - he just looks different (he's just furrier and got a mohawk and tattoos - he's still recognisable though).

And Spyro never had a kart racer on his name nor did he have a party game. Crash had both. I'm still waiting for a Crash Bash sequel - a fella can dream.  roll

Re: Raging Fanboys?

heres the thing.

Spyro was milked.

most fans hated him affter EtDf and then they kept on milking him...not they come out with this....THING i think they have a reson to be mad, they don't want to see spyro sink as low as sonic sunk.

and yes I know im not in the "this game sucks" topic but if you can go in there to tell us were wrong the game will rule i think i should be aloud to come here and give you resons for our instent hate.

Re: Raging Fanboys?

But the thing is - Sonic recovered. If Spyro goes down the blue hedgehog's route and then recover, that'll be great.

I was hoping that one studio would work on Classic Spyro and another would work on LOS. To milk Spyro right. Skylanders shocked the hell out of me. I'm still getting it, mainly to either show off that the game is good or complain about the boredom that the games gives me (I'm making a "Let's Play" when it comes out). Depends on how it turns out.

Re: Raging Fanboys?

There's pretty much 2 kinds of Fanboys in the fandom right now.

One side is a group of fanboys who accepted this drastic change and are in fact looking forward to it.(almost everyone here)

The other side is for those who can't accept this change so they whine and *bleep* about.(Me and Clock_la)

Re: Raging Fanboys?

I think it's an interesting sort of thing. And I tend to like games that form their own genres, games like MAG, Patapon, Minecraft, stuff like that. It doesn't look like my sort of game (not that into platformers anymore), but I'll keep an ear to the ground and look at reviews. To be honest, I reckon most of you would be at least vaguely interested if Spyro hadn't been lumped in to be the poster boy.
