Re: Spyro at Gamescom 2011
A palette swap appeared in AHT with Flame and Spyro with exactly the same moves and everything. I think Ember was one too.

You get Dark Spyro in the 3DS Starter Pack, along with Stealth Elf and Ignitor.

Re: Spyro at Gamescom 2011
Things I have learned:
-Flamesligner's a dude.
-There are 40 hats total in the game, all of them adding to the characters' attributes. The hates are earned, not sold.
-Stump Smash is a tree character that has been logged. Interesting. Almost as if a half-*bleep* background was created for the character, at least.
-Paul Reiche got pwnd. He's not a very good at video games and makes a horrible presenter and spokesman. Probably just stick to designing the things, Paul.

And poor Sonic Boom. Her backstory is heart-breaking; her hatchlings can only live for mere moments before they magically return to their egg shells only to be hatched again in an endless cycle...

Re: Spyro at Gamescom 2011
Even though the art and characters are completely different, Skylanders still reminds me of classic Spyro. The idea of grabbing rockets to fire at enemies is very old-school-Spyro-esque.
I think Skylanders looks really fun. But just one thing: If winning the "battle mode" gives you XP, couldn't you easily level up all the characters just by having player 2 always throw the match? Seems like an obvious loophole...

Re: Spyro at Gamescom 2011
if these are accurate screenies of ps3 or 360 versions, then the shadings and number of polygons in the overall graphics is turning out better than I imagined. And it looks like Bash is attacking some sort of boss.
