Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Spyro the dragon
Gateway To Glimmer/Ripto's Rage
Year Of The Dragon
Season of Ice
Enter The Dragon Fly
Attack of the Rhynocs
A Heros Tail
Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy
Shadow Legacy
A New Beginning
The Eternal Night
I think that's it.

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Hmm, well if you're talking about the storyline.. It's kinda messed up. (I think someone made a post answering this about a month or so ago.)
Anyways, my guess would be that it starts with Spyro The Dragon, Ripto's Rage, then Year of the Dragon. Somewhere in the middle would fit Enter the Dragonfly and Hero's Tail. Then it would start all over with A New Beginning, and it really is a "new beginning." . And now there's Eternal Night.
I could care less for the smaller games like Season of Ice and what not. So, I'm clueless as to where they go.

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Yeah, there's a lot of debate about the chronological order of the Spyro games. The list that warrior_juggalo posted is the correct in order of release. In order of storyline, is technically not connected very much. Spyro 1 - 4 are a connected series. Spyro A Hero's Tail isn't connected. The A New Beginning games are part of a 3-game series. A lot of fan fiction writers actually connected the series together, though.
Cough, if you beat Eternal Night, you might just get a feeling that Krome is actually setting up the stage for connecting the game to Insomniac's games.

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Well, if you need the order of the timeline... Here's how I see it:
The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning
The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night
The Legend of Spyro: (title not revealed)
Spyro the Dragon
Spyro 2: Gateway To Glimmer/Ripto's Rage
Spyro 3: Year Of The Dragon
Spyro: Season of Ice
Spyro 2: Season of Flame
Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs
Spyro 4: Enter The Dragon Fly
Spyro: A Heros Tail
Spyro: Shadow Legacy
I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Im sure that Kromes timeline is different, if it isn't, we're back to the same dilema as before (when i was like rant rant rant)
I really gotta play all the games to see the cronilogical order

Well, if my hunch of what Krome's thinking of doing to end their trilogy, it just might prove my theory correct.

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
he already said...Krome is trying to connect their series to the insomniac series.
haha, what has to happen is that there is a major fight, cynder dies (or goes away), all the other dragons die (ignitus and all that crap) or go away, sparx gets a vocal injury and he loses his voice aswell as him getting a facelift, spyro gets a facelift and a vocal transplant, Spyro forgets all his special powers, the dragon realms change alot, gnasty gnorc arrives.
There is much more, i dont think its going to happen

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
I doubt Cynder is going to die, why build up her character in such a way, only to kil her off. Hunter will probably be a far different character in LOS thenwhe was in the insomoniac games.

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
well theres one reason why they wont lead it up to the insomniac games, and also Hunter has nothing to do with LOS, and it would be absolute dumb to think he would if it was before the insomniac games because spyro met hunter in Avalar

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Either that or they might not able to link it up in a trilogy if they can't find a way. It'll be better if Cynder took off than die out. What she'll do? Use your head...

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Does it even look like they are trying to? It'll be even weirder if someone started working on the old one while Krome does the other. (Oh, my brain hurts...)

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
Cynder will eventually realize that her place is with Spyro and Sparx. They are her only family (in any form) that she has. Once the DM is defeated Cynder will likely become a Guardian, if she survives. She and Spyro will be the only two guardians of that generation.

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
I imagine they will be tasked with protecting the eggs entrusted to them by the other dragons. Hopefully they'll have a better success rate than Ignitus and the other guardians did. They failed miserably, and it nearly cost them everything.

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
My two-cents (about the chronological order, not the fate of the LoS characters).
I believe that this is the most accurate way to order the games;
Spyro the Dragon (This seems to almost be a given - none of the Dragons seem to consider him of worth thus he needs to prove himself).
Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer (references made to original game in introduction).
Spyro: Year of the Dragon (This should come before the events of the GBA games, or Grendor and company would be out of place)
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (It is set IMMEDIATELY after the Sorceress' defeat, since the coming of the Dragonflies is an event that co-incides with the hatching of the Dragons).
Spyro: Season of Ice (Set shortly after the Sorceress' defeat (but not immediately, unlike EtD), this is almost the backstory to the Rhynoc race).
Spyro: Season of Flame (They return from the Grendor encounter...only for Ripto nick the Dragonflies again (they have a different effect, this time). This is one whacked storyline).
Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs (I'd give this a couple of years after Season of Flame, if just for Ripto attacking far too often...).
Spyro: A Hero's Tails (This one has a few years of gap before it, as well. It has a relatively new atmosphere, new neighbours, and the change of old characters).
Spyro: Fusion ( I must stress this now, Fusion CANNOT be before AHT, almost solely for the fact that AHT was Blink's introduction into the Spyro universe. I'd also say that the characters are slightly changed again).
Spyro: The Shadow Legacy (Never played it, don't know much about it, but it seems like it doesn't have any major contradictions which may place it before AHT).
And that's it for the main bulk. You may notice a considerable gap at the bottom of the list. I believe that 'The Legend of Spyro' series is not in that particular universe. I instead think that LoS is an alternate universe of Spyro and company (if company are lucky enough to appear). This is because Spyro's start in life is so contradictory to the story conceived in Spyro 1, it simply can't co-incide at all.
Mass mental scarring, AWWAAAYY!!
You have it lucky compared to my other haunts...

Re: Sequential Order of the Spyro Games
SL can not be in the original storyline/ parallel universe (hey, you have the same theory as me) because if you've played SL you would know that spyro cant glide yet, the houses look all japanesie and nothing like the original dragon realms.
There is TONS of differences
