Spyro's epic ultra awesome music discussion

Everyone loves the music in the Spyro games. Even in Spyro's darkest hour *COUGH* Skylanders *COUGH*, the music has remained awesome (although I've never played Skylanders. Can someone confirm that the music is awesome?).

So, I decided to make this topic, because epic Spyro music is epic. Let's discuss anything to do with Spyro music here.

I'll start the discussion; what game do you think has the best music? Personally, I think Spyro 3 has the best music.

if i had to pick, my ABSOLUTE favorites are:DREAMS.
probably my favorite song of all time / Valley of Avalar. YES

Twilight Falls is a pretty good one, too. the first song in Burned Lands if you don't mind sad music.

oh yeah, and the end credit songs for TEN and DOTD of course.

One of my favourites in Midnight Mountain. I don't know what it is about that music, but I really like it.

I don't know, maybe it's the nostalgia, but the music from the original Spyro the Dragon is just awesome. (Twilight Harbor, Wild Flight, Toasty, Dark Passage) Stewart Copeland just nailed the atmosphere and just the entire feel of the game. Still makes playing the game today enjoyable.

Yeah, I saw that interview a couple years ago actually. Pretty cool stuff--I bet its really low tech compared to what goes on now in video game music. I wonder when that interview was taken? Must have been like the late 90's or something. It's crazy that that was more than 10 years ago...

I completely agree. The other two had great soundtracks as well, but there was something about the first one. I wish there was a way to buy the soundtrack because I definitely would.

Eh heh heh... decided to pop back on and see what's new.

Anyway, I'm still a sucker to most of the music present in Spyro 1. I think it might be because it tends to feel big in scope but as if a band was playing it instead of an full-blown orchestra. That said, it's a tie between Dream Weavers and Dark Passage.

I gree that the Spyro 1 music is awesome. I still prefer Spyro 3's music, but some levels in Spyro 1 have amazing music.
