Spyro movie poster

Hi, i've been looking for a 'spyro the movie' poster for a very long time. They were selling for a short time before the movie was declared cancelled. Can anyone find me one, willing to pay o_O

Re: Spyro movie poster

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't know if they ever actually made physical posters for the movie. At least, I never heard about it if they did. Maybe you could get the image of it and get it printed out professionally?

Re: Spyro movie poster

They stated that it was because they wanted to take the series in a different direction, which turned out to be Skylanders.

So it was either a bad movie because nearly all video game movies suck. Or the already terribad Skylanders. I say we got the worse option.

Fun fact: The one thing /v/ universally agree on is the Playstation Spyro games to be master pieces.

Re: Spyro movie poster

well of course old spyro is best. the others after the original three and the exception of a hero's tale are less than stellar.

Well the movie was bound to be *bleep* anyway.

Re: Spyro movie poster

How did they manage to flop Eragon like that? The books are made to be films!

Re: Spyro movie poster

The problems the movie had were 90% story-based. They tossed out important story elements that would be needed for the sequels, the major plot points were completely out of order, etc.

Re: Spyro movie poster

Don't forget that the plot itself is bascially a shameless ripoff of Star Wars A New Hope. Don't believe me? Let me describe it for you.

Aa humble farm boy discovers that he possesses a hidden power and finds himself hunted by an evil overlord who once betrayed a noble order of knights charged with the protection of freedom and justice. Along the way he meets a wise old mentor who gives him a powerful sword, encourages the young man to develop his magical talents, helps him save a princess in the warlord's dark fortress, and sacrifices himself to save the boy. The movie ends with an air battle after the bad guys track down the hidden stronghold of the rebellion.

Sound familiar?

Re: Spyro movie poster

Nearly all adventure story's use the same story structure as A New Hope it is the quintessential story of good vs evil and the unlikely hero besting the evil tyrant, films and novels were using that formula way before Star Wars.

Re: Spyro movie poster

Yes the Eragon movies could have been sooo much better. I swear i would make a much better director for these kinds of things seeing as how i actually read and re-read the books constantly (just about anyone could do this job if they actually took the time to read the books). anyway there were many problems with the movie such as plot points being left out and being put in the wrong order, locations that were described in the book when they arrived there were not accurate (as in completly wrong or the opposite of the actual place), they changed far too much of the story line, and one of the worst things that they did was leave them ending as a cliffhanger for the next movie in the story that was never even made due to how badly the first one was doing in both being produced and in the box office. i mean the only decent part of the movie was Sapphira (the dragon, may have misspelled her name i am bad about that); I mean they even screwed up the fight scene at the end although it was very nicely done it was still wrong. Hollywood you fail epicly.

I know that some people will argue that there was far too much detail to make the movie more accurate and that is total and complete bull. yes there is a lot of detail but you can leave a few (or in this case quite a bit, since the book is extremely long[in some peoples opinions] and has a ton of detail, but it is mostly fight scenes and major places that they visited.)  minor things out with out changing the movie too much but i mean seriously they left out far too much detail to make the movie any good. The movie wasn't you know so bad that it needed to be completely erased from human and film history, but it was still really bad.
