Re: General Discussion 5
Clock-la: Not sure what you're thinking makes Romney an "extremist." He's just your typical Republican, really. Could be either good or bad depending on how you look at it, but "extremist" is probably not the right word. If you're getting most of your news about American politics from the internet, I can definitely see why you would think that, though, since the internet has a pretty overwhelmingly liberal bias.
Swaffy: Gary Johnson isn't a "hippy," but since he doesn't fall into either of the main two parties, a lot of people do label him as weird, especially for his stance on drug legalization (which IMO is not even a major issue right now at all). I would encourage you to read about third party candidates' positions (if you haven't already) before passing such judgments.

Re: General Discussion 5
Looks like New York is getting hit with another hurricane, stronger than the last. Some really stupid people trying to weather the storm near the water instead of finding higher ground.

Re: General Discussion 5
I remember Arthur.... I used to watch that all the time when I was a kid.
Half birthdays I think are really only a thing for kids who have summer birthdays. In a lot of schools they'll have short little celebrations for kids on their birthdays, but if a kid's birthday is in the summer, they'll miss out, so they'll do half birthdays for those kids instead.

Re: General Discussion 5
Disney weren't big enough before? i mean, come on, spend one day at a Disney park, and one family could pay up enough for the entire company's yearly salary. why buy out something else yet?
