Re: General Discussion 5
It's because they were filmed back to back.

Re: General Discussion 5
Yea I think I heard on tv that there was over 200 days of filming. So it should be pretty good.

Re: General Discussion 5
I'm guessing that he's either preoccupied by another film or it just takes a year to do all the editing for a series of Sherlock.

Re: General Discussion 5
They should both be pretty good movies given the time Jackson has had to work on them. I was concerned at first with timing considering that the Hobbit is a smaller book than each of the three LOTR installments. Since it was Jackson and not the studio heads who requested that a third film be made, I suspect it's not for money, but rather to tie in the Hobbit to LOTR more smoothly (This wasn't the case in the original novel).
It'll be interesting to see how he expands it into three movies though since he ended 'An Unexpected Journey' in a very nice place. The pacing of the first seems to suggest that two films would have been sufficient to wrap it up, but we'll see. Loved the first and have high expectations for the next two.

Re: General Discussion 5
I think I heard that the third one has more to do with Tolkeins appendices than the actual book itself.

Re: General Discussion 5
Also just saw Spyrorocks's setup. Wow, a bit bipolar there. Is it awkward going between OSs like that?

Re: General Discussion 5
Played the Fire Emblem Awakening demo
"Oh, I've heard of this! It's called amnesia!"
"It's called a load of Pegasus dung."
So very true.
Anyway Its pretty nice for a demo. Does the prologue and first chapter, shows enough to get you interested, especially in terms of story and events (unlike other demos out there).
