Re: General Discussion 5
To everyone who has never been on a date: there's nothing wrong with you. I think a lot of people overvalue sexual and relationship experience and use them as some kind of indicator of a person's worth. I try to just ignore those people because they are too single-minded to realize that there's a lot more to life than just that.

Re: General Discussion 5
Well... I'm 22. When I was your age I had never been on a date either.
Edit: I guess what I'm trying to say is, yeah, dating is great and all, but it doesn't make you a loser if haven't been on a date before.

Re: General Discussion 5
@Latias-fan's image: I was like that when talking to people outside my small group of friends back when I was younger too, but as I got older it got a lot easier. The first time I ever worked up the courage to talk to Stormy it was a lot like that actually... and again when I asked her out. but it was working up the courage that helped me get past it, as well as getting out of high school and being forced to interact with new people. As far as being single, the right person will come when they come, there's no reason to put yourself down if you haven't found someone yet, just keep searching and stay positive.

Re: General Discussion 5
It's never bothered me that I've never been in a relationship with someone, and it still doesn't bother me but the thing that does bother me is how often I'll obsess over a straight person like I have for the past year or so

Re: General Discussion 5
I had a crush on a guy in early high school who I found out later was gay. I was pretty much over him by the time I found out, though, and I never really thought we would be together or anything because he was one of those popular drama people who had millions of friends.
I imagine the reverse happens a lot more often, though.

Re: General Discussion 5
The way I met Cara was through a friend, and for a while I decided I liked her. When she found out the first time, I chickened out. The next time, I had a friend tell her I liked her, and she liked me back. We talked from there, and eventually we fell in love. I thought it would be hard to be in a relationship, but you get used to it after a while.

Re: General Discussion 5
Contrary to what I said earlier, it varies. With me and Stormy I felt it right away, while it took her a few months to feel it. And it all still worked out for us.

Re: General Discussion 5
Yeah, love at first sight is not really a thing that actually happens outside of fiction. At least not in my experience.
I'm a little odd in that I've never been attracted to anyone by their looks, though, so it always takes me kind of a while to start having feelings for someone.

The person I 'like', I've known for nearly 6 years. About a year ago I became really good friends with him and... yeah, you get the idea

Re: General Discussion 5
i "like" someone right now. that is such a rare occurrence. i don't develop feelings often - well, i do, and then i get over them very quickly. it's different with this person, though. we have a lot in common, and without sounding corny, we just understand each other in a way that a lot of other people don't. and it wouldn't surprise me at all if this person felt the same way. we both really enjoy talking to each other.
the problem is, we only know each other online. an online relationship wouldn't work out, for various reasons.
the good news is, first of all, we don't live TOO far from each other. the other good news is, i'm sick and tired right now (because of the heat and broken air conditioning in the family transportation mechanism, no doubt), so i can't even bring myself to be concerned right now. somehow, though, not tired enough to sleep. so i'm just sitting here.

Re: General Discussion 5
It's true you can't really call it love at first sight that's only in stories. Also it does indeed take time for feelings to develop.

That's great hope everything continues going good. Sucks that you weren't able to eat at the restaurant hopefully next time.
