extremely similar to the style and feel of Spyro the Dragon? (Excluding the side missions)

I can see that connection! There's also a level in Spyro 1 called 'Alpine Ridge' that seems to share a few similarities with this level, too.

Ive always thought this. Charmed Ridge looks like something pulled directly out of Dream Weavers.

This, enchanted towers, and a couple others I cant think of right now do indeed resemble Spyro 1 which I prefer to the newer ones in the game. The Beverage influenced music kind of ruins the feel though.

i never had any gripes about the different soundtracks. all the songs sound like Spyro songs to me. they're all different, but that's always kinda been what made them cool.

and yeah, Charmed Ridge does kind of have a Spyro 1 vibe to it, doesn't it? it relies a lot on a "traditional" fantasy/magical atmosphere like Magic Crafters and Dream Weavers.

Sure I guess, Crystal Islands does it the best with the atmospheric soundtrack to compliment the Crystal flight theme. But my real gripe is Enchanted towers music which is grossly out of place with what is otherwise a Magic Crafters/Skelos Badlands mashup.
