Re: General Discussion 5
Ew, night labs are the worst. I had a Biology one a few years ago. This class is Geographic Information Systems. The class itself seems pretty cool; it's basically learning to use a mapping program that can display all sorts of spatial data. I just wish I had a better timeslot.

Re: General Discussion 5
I have a little bit of ways to go till i have to go to university (or college), but I'm not sure i will be taking classes at night for what I'm going for. Sounds tiring, you must gotta eat a billion tic tacs to keep awake (in all seriousness, it's probably not that bad is it?)

Re: General Discussion 5
Well when I say 'night' class, I guess it's more like an 'evening' class. It's from 5-8:30pm. Which isn't that bad on its own, but when all your other classes are done before noon, it's a bit obnoxious to have to either stay on campus all day, or make two trips to and from school. I know my dad took overnight classes while he had a full-time job back in the day. I can't even imagine doing anything like that. o.o
What are you looking into studying? I wish I could have known what I wanted to study earlier. I ended up declaring my major in environmental studies in my second year, and just declared my minor (GIS) about month ago. If the university is anything like the one I go to, registration is just a crapchute. You might get what classes you originally wanted, but most of the time they're either filled up, overlap with other classes, don't work with your schedule, etc...but somehow it all ends up working out.

Re: General Discussion 5
The hours at College or University can go into the night you gotta be like a brick house and stay strong to stay awake and just fall asleep when you get the time at home.
When you work hard and have free time you really gotta enjoy it and make the most of it. Before that work comes up again Stay strong your doing great. Paranoia!

Re: General Discussion 5
Very nice character Giganoto. Why is next week going to be hell Clock-la?
Today was a good day at work. I finished construction on an application that the business will use to keep track of hotel reservations and was assigned to start technical design on another that will be used for store users to know who to contact in the general office when they have a question. I work as a programmer for the general office of Menards, a hardware store chain in the midwest, for those who don't know

Did you kill all the space pirates yet?
Might have another job working on yet another forum. This one would be paid, though.

Re: General Discussion 5
No, I still have to finish Prime 2 and 3. So many more pirates to kill--though they are really a joke in the third game. I just need to find one more expansion in Prime 2 for 100%. It's infuriating.
And cool, sounds like you're starting to get more consistent work.

Re: General Discussion 5
I really enjoy it. It places more emphasis on exploration than your typical FPS. Just be mindful you'll backtrack a lot; I like it though because after you collect further upgrades, you can plow through the enemies that gave you trouble before. The learning curve is a little steep, but once you get it, it's a lot of fun. Also, if you can get your hands on Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii, you should. I actually really enjoy the motion control for those games.
