What if...? Cynder voice

What if a company with the budget, the skills and the idea of keeping the concept and just refreshing it would make a sequel of The Legend Of Spyro where Spyro and Cynder are depicted... More Mature... (adolescent to be precise)!

In that case Cynder needs a voice (logic!) so I thought about:

okay, i know they're not *supposed* to be adolescents in DOTD... i know they're the same age, they just *look* like they went through most of puberty (even though they didn't age) because of the new developers, but... let's face it, they basically already are adolescents. the idea of them maturing could be cool, but i can't shake the feeling that they already did.

also, Christina Aguilera just doesn't sound very Cynder-ish to me.

I really don't think Aguilera would suit too well due to the progression she's had as a character. I would give her a voice that could show her past pains yet reveal that she's a strong figure.

Am I the only one that thinks the second Cynder was the best?

i agree there. in the first one, young Cynder sounded too... high-pitched, maybe?

in DOTD, she sounded like a cheerleader which is really unfitting to her character. she sounded the best in TEN.

Indeed. It is actually a shame that DotD didn't only butcher her voice, but her whole character as well. They softened her up and made her shockingly stockish. It's a real shame that they did not keep much of her character development and just made her "Spyro's female companion and love interest!" tongue

Can't deny that. They could have worked on it entirely, but just didn't.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the entire LoS series was just experimental and "make it up as you go" ish.

I can see what you mean by that. There were a few points I could remember where it seemed like they were taking cues from the fans.

Remember when there was a controversy about some line in one of the handheld games that implied Spyro and Cynder were related, and all the fans freaked out, and then they basically retconned that line out and said it didn't mean anything? And then when everyone was saying they wanted multiplayer and for Cynder to be playable, and it happened? And when they changed developers and made everything look completely different for the third game? All those things could possibly indicate a lack of planning from the beginning, I think.

A little more on topic, the voice actors constantly changing could be another thing.

Yeah. It's a huge indicator of that. The only ones that I can tell were completely consistent were Oldman and Wood. Both, I think did a wonderful job.
