Re: General Discussion 5
Lol, sorry about that. When I connected the first time, it was in the middle of a game and I didn't really know how to play. Then my roommate wanted to do some stuff (namely play Smash bros.), so I left. I came back the second time, realized I was super tired and didn't feel like learning a new game so I went to bed, haha. Next weekend though I'll try to stick around. Also, still have to finish those essays... ._.
Speaking of internet troubles though, I recently updated my laptop from Windows 8 to 8.1, and my wifi just stopped working completely. I got really nervous because it sounded like it was an ongoing issue for a lot of people. Then I realized I just had to use a different driver or something. Wish I could have just got a laptop with Windows 7. I literally don't use any of the new Windows 8 features. I downloaded Classic Shell to get a start menu, and just use the desktop.

Counter Strike some old friends use to play it. Not really my kind of thing though but hope your party of three enjoyed it.

I'm so sorry Flapjacks. He sounds a little like my favorite cat from when I was younger. She was really friendly and loved people, but not other cats. We had to put her down too; it was really hard.

Dear Flapjacks, remember this: all dogs go to heaven. Your dog was beautiful, with that silky black color. I'm sure it had a good family too.

Re: General Discussion 5
Thanks, guys. I've had trouble dealing with it for the past couple days; I feel like I should've showed him how much more I cared about him, and have had trouble grieving because of that. I've sort of dealt with it now, but I still don't really feel motivated to do much.

Re: General Discussion 5
it's an understandable and normal feeling, dogs pick up well on the mood and feelings of others though. i'm sure he knew. or rather knows, if you believe in an afterlife.
take your time with things, it'll get easier. thinking of you.

Re: General Discussion 5
Series 3 of Call the Midwife
MAAAAANNNNN This series has just being depressing! xD
In comparison to the other two series anyhow, I mean I know the show deals with heavy themes, but normally the ended with a positive ending, (E.G. A white woman has a black baby despite her husband being white as well, but the Husband loves the child and accepts him as his own) But this series has just had constant depressing things (for comparison one episode had the same event, white family but a black baby, but this time round the husband forced her to give up the baby)
But it is still good...just...its been a difficult watch,as my tissue box is empty :-(

Re: General Discussion 5
It's rare these days to see such a compelling show of what you describe. The drama and heartbreak though are as much as I hate to admit it. What make said show interguing and watchable. Also when a happy ending happens it is a good one and you enjoy the shift to a pleasent theme.
But anyway The Next Step's drama is nothing compared to your show hope you keep on enjoying it.
Also Happy Late Women's day. Keep on being strong, smart, and powerful, and great women of the world everywhere.

Re: General Discussion 5
That's reminds me of some reading I had to do for school once. Some philosopher guy we had to read, can't remember which one.
But we read something of his that sounds similar to what you're saying. He thought it was wrong to read fiction because it was all lies, and it manipulates your emotions.

Re: General Discussion 5
Why does everybody wants to break free from society and its lies?
It's much easier to just take it and live further...
"These shoes aren't as great as tr advertising promised!"
But you got shoes, right?
"The world is lying to you!"
I don't care. I don't need truth, I need money.
"The government is evil!"
**** this ****, I'm living the life here!

Re: General Discussion 5
I agree with you there O-danny-o, especially on the advertising bit. As long as you don't let the crazy advertisements fool you into buying something that's not worth it, there's nothing wrong with buying something that's heavily commercialized. I don't care much for the world lying to me really, but I do my best to seek the truth anyone so it doesn't stop me from living my life, you know? And as for the government bit, I have a lot of issues with my country's government, but hey it's better than a lot of other places in the world.
