I think making just one homeworld is a good idea, as you said, it does give that extra chance for it to actually be finished and on the (off) chance that it does actually reach a full, non-beta release, you could maybe add more worlds. I hope you can pull off the perspective style the originals had. They had some kind of feel with the render distance that made far-away places look even more far away than they actually were, if that makes sense. I don't really know how to explain it.

Yeah, I agree with all these people! That supercharge idea is really cool. It's kind of weird how I didn't think of that idea for my... uhh... Nevermind. I think you have a very good approach on this game. I've never used Gamemaker, but I'd say you need to make sure you know it very well to make the game itself good. Controls need to be responsive and all that jazz. But good luck with this project, do your best!
