Internet is being extremely slow. I mean, extremely slow. A download dipped to a whopping speed of 1,077 bytes per second, I can't watch Youtube videos even in 144p, and getting here from the homepage took about two or three minutes. Xfinity is just great. Upgrade pls.

Edit: When I opened my email, then closed it, and opened it again, it was convinced that multiple devices were connected to it at once.

I never thought of prayer as a strictly religious thing, although if you looked up a definition it probably would claim it is.

she and her family are safe. going by the oddly non-descriptive weather reports online for her area, Tuesday could have some pretty bad storms, but nothing is written about tornadoes, so it seems the worst of it went by. thanks to you and anyone else who prayed, that means a lot.

Nice to hear they're doing fine, I've been right next to a tornado before and I don't think I've ever been more scared than that.

eh, at least i got out for two walks. technically one long one i guess, but it was interrupted by dinner. it was in the rain, which is an interesting change of pace since i don't usually go out in the rain.

So, I've owned Dark Souls II on PC for about a week now, and I haven't been able to play it online, except for when I was using an internet connection besides my own. I'm fairly certain it's not my ISP, because I have a friend who also uses the ISP I use (Comcast,) and he can connect just fine on his PC. I contacted their support, got nothing back. I contacted the forums, and got nothing (useful) back. I contacted Steam, and got nothing back. So, at this point, I'm just waiting for them to release a patch to a separate problem, in hopes that this separate problem being solved will also solve my problem. This separate problem is a problem where people who have been VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) banned on any Steam game can't connect to the servers. I've never been VAC banned, however. I'm just hoping that the two problems are connected enough to the point that them fixing the other one will also fix mine. They did release something on their support page yesterday, however, claiming that if you port forwarded to the ports that they listed below, that you might have a better chance at connecting. However, they did not give a server IP address, which my router requires to port forward. So, I searched up steampowered.com's ip address, and used it, and got the beautifully worded error of: "This IP address is Error." Ain't that something.

Edit: Also, I've tried just about every troubleshooting method you can think of: Restarting the game, Steam, my PC, reinstalling the game, taking steam_api files out and verifying the cache, removing clientregistry.blob, turning on/off my firewall, changing my internet's connections to home, and even more trivial things than that.
