Re: This Game Inspired The Legend of Spyro [FOUND SOME EVIDENCE]
i've never played this, but it does seem like they took a lot of influence from its storyline to make TLOS.
but i was also playing AHT today, and i feel like they borrowed a lot of ideas - especially in the gameplay department - from that, too. the story from Shadow Legacy, and the gameplay of A Hero's Tail.
and don't worry, when some developer is too lazy to come up with a new boss, they can bring back the Sorcerer then. they did it with Ripto like, what, 2 or 3 times now?

Re: This Game Inspired The Legend of Spyro [FOUND SOME EVIDENCE]
I would definitely believe that SL inspired LoS, especially with all the combat stuff. It was basically AHT mixed with LoS with some RPG elements thrown in. If this game had been better received, LoS might have turned out entirely different, and I might've actually liked it.
Yeah, I actually did really like this game; I know that's not a popular opinion, but I thought it had real potential. The only real problems for me were the character models (some of them just looked really weird) and the glitchiness. Showing the families of some of the secondary characters seemed kind of out of place for some reason, too, but I could overlook that.
I remember hearing somewhere that SL was originally going to be a console game, so, yeah, I'd like to see a remake or a continuation, but that's really, really unlikely, especially now.

I have a fanfic going on. Maybe my idea can work.
PS: Unreal Engine 4 is usable for $19/month. That can also make the game work.

lol $19 a month to use an outdated, hard to use, and generally bad engine
I'm not sorry if I offended you.

Actually, Unreal Engine 4 came out this year. It's supposed to be more user-friendly than Unreal Engine 3, and it looks to have STUNNING visuals!!!

Re: This Game Inspired The Legend of Spyro [FOUND SOME EVIDENCE]
The producers of Shadow Legacy brought some elements from the game to the Legend of Spyro series. That's why they're a little similar, because the producers of Shadow Legacy also did the story of the LoS trilogy.

Loco, did you even read my post at all? Of course both DotD and Shadow Legacy are similar in some of their characters like the cheetahs, because the producers developed the story for both of them. And now both producers are part of Activision, one of them now working on the Skylanders franchise.
