Spyro Revival Concept. Legit?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section, but I just have this crazy idea. Here's the thing...

I just can't believe that Activision hasn't thought of this.

They probably haven't thought of it because it would be a waste of their time and money to make a game that wouldn't be popular. It's not a bad idea, but it would take more than a little gimmick like this to revive any non-Skylanders incarnation of Spyro at this point.

As for how it would work, I guess it would depend on what the "upgrades" would be. Powerups or something? Stronger breaths like in the LoS games? Maybe upgraded elemental breaths based on the element of the Skylander?

I think if you add anything Skylanders related to your game it will lose its genuineness, but that's just my 2 cents to the matter.
