Sierra's back
I, along with many others, noticed that Sierra Entertainment's website is back up. Sierra, now a subdivision of Activision and renamed, is set to be make some announcements at Gamescom 2014 next week. We all know that Sierra did The Legend of Spyro games and other video games. Would we expect another full Spyro game from them? Or will we get excited over nothing as they announce other games besides one related to the Spyro series?

Re: Sierra's back
My guess is still that people will get excited over nothing, but I guess you never know. Has Sierra not published anything else lately?

Re: Sierra's back
I first noticed this in darkSpyro. I was like:
Really, it's nice that they're coming back, but I've heard of Blizzard's fate. By all means, I hope Activision will treat Sierra as a separate company that's under a good parent, and not a strict manipulator.

Depends, if we get a game like A hero's tale I'd be down for that We need more fun platformers not every game has to be a huge Epic story.

Re: Sierra's back
i feel like AHT is a little too far in the opposite direction. Ripto's Rage is a pretty happy medium. things get urgent whenever Ripto comes into the picture, but most of the game is just fun.

Re: Sierra's back
Couldn't agree more. If only people would focus more on solid gameplay instead of trying too hard to make games seem "cool."

Re: Sierra's back
I'm all for an epic story.
And as for being excited, perhaps if we don't get our hopes up, and they do announce a Spyro game, we will be way happier.

Re: Sierra's back
Sorry to say folks, but Sierra only revealed a reimagined King's Quest game, Geometry Wars 3, and mentioned "other indie projects" in the works - http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/08/12/activ … ngs-quest/

Re: Sierra's back
That's disappointing. But I can't say it's surprising.
