Announcement about the tone of discussions in this forum

Starting right now, I want this section to be a positive environment for everyone, whether you like or dislike Skylanders.

I know this forum has a strong anti-Skylanders bias, and that's fine! Don't let anyone tell you that you have to like it. But we need to think about how Skylanders fans must feel when any update about Skylanders that gets posted in here is met with negativity. I'm afraid that Skylanders fans may be driven away from this site by the negative attitudes often expressed on this forum.

I certainly don't want to tell anyone "keep your opinions to yourself" or "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." But at the same time... we get it already. There are certain complaints about Skylanders that have been so prevalent since the announcement of the first game three years ago that they really don't need to be brought up constantly. Here are some examples of the types of complaints I'm talking about:

"Spyro shouldn't have been in it" / "It's is not ~the real Spyro~" / etc.
"The toys are a cash grab" / "Activision is greedy" / etc.
"Spyro's character design is ugly."
"It just sucks!" / "I hate it!" / "kill it with fire!" with no reasoning or explanation.

Starting right now, I would ask that you please think before making comments like this. I don't want to be the "hater police" or something like that, so please just use your common sense and think about if the negative comment you're about to post is really contributing to the topic and whether or not it really needs to be said.

I'd also like to remind you all that this thread exists, and that it was created specifically to keep the negative tone out of the other topics. If you must rant about some of these common anti-Skylanders complaints, please consider doing it there instead of collectively clogging up every other topic where people might just want to have nice discussions.

If you feel that you can't comply with this for whatever reason, I ask that you please refrain from posting in this section.

I'm kind of use to the negativity. Some peeps don't like Skylanders that's fine I love it and Everyone has different tastes that's fine and respectable but this is a great idea thanks Stormy!
