All of a sudden, I like this series, just because I saw Snapshot, briefly, in a Target commercial promoting Christmas sales. I've gotten used to Skylanders Spyro. He's my childhood hero no -- [slaps self]

i can't comment on the quality of the series, but i could suggest thinking about the money involved with getting into this series, it could be pretty expensive with the figures and portals and stuff.

No need to be so rude, man. I echo the same sentiments as 36. I've had a mild interest in trying Skylanders, but the price of the game+figures just doesn't seem worth it to me when I could use that money to pay rent or buy food or something instead.

Nah man. There's nothing wrong. If you like it you like. If you wanna play one of the games. It'll be costly like 36. Said. As for the series. It self. It's fun and addicting. Their always. Adding something new to spruce up the gameplay from Spyro's Adventure to Trap Team. That's the best option I got. Hope it helps a bit.

I want to start some kind of business renting out Skylanders figures and stuff for people who don't want to shell out the money to buy every single new figure but still want to play the game and experience all the content. Problem is I have no idea if it would be legal or possible with how the toys work. I don't even have the game myself because it costs too much. tongue

The funny thing is, the UB Funkeys team started selling virtual UB Funkeys as the popularity died down. I think that the virtual ones were cheaper.

You had to get a starter pack, which would come with a big white HUB Funkey so you can put your smaller character Funkeys into the game. The pack also comes with two Funkeys and an installation disc, so it wasn't a browser-based thing.

The small Funkeys can be used to gain access to an abundance of minigames, worlds, and decorations for your home. Unfortunately, you had to buy additional Funkeys in order to gain access to any ADDITIONAL ones. I forgot how much they costed apiece, but it was LESS than those other ones and, in my sense, much more practical.
