Malefor in Skylanders

Yep, Malefor is reimagined as the Undead Dragon King of the Skylands underworld and has only been mentioned in the backstories of Hex and Cynder here -

"While just an egg, Cynder was stolen by the henchmen of an evil dragon named Malefor and raised to do his bidding. For years, she spread fear throughout the land until she was defeated by Spyro the Dragon and freed from the grip of Malefor. But dark powers still flow through her, and despite her desire to make amends for her past, most Skylanders try to keep a safe distance… just in case."

"Long ago, Hex was a gifted and powerful sorceress who traveled deep into the underworld to confront the Undead Dragon King named Malefor, who made several attempts to capture her to learn her secrets. Though she successfully battled the dragon, Hex returned from the underworld changed – having unwillingly joined the ranks of the Undead. Many are wary of her since her transformation, suspecting she has used her powerful magic for evil purposes. But Eon trusts her, and views her as a valuable Skylander ally."

And then there is an entry for Malefor in the Life & Undead Book of Elements book. Wonder when he'll make a full appearance in a kid-friendly franchise, since he was such a dark character in the LoS. -

It's weird how I feel like, when a new Spyro game FINALLY comes out, someone would slap Skylanders connections and put it so that classic Spyro made the Skylanders universe in his dreams, by accident.

that's a pretty cool idea, actually. when Skylanders' popularity starts to decline, that would be a good way to pick up where the originals left off and lead back into that series.

plus then you don't have to worry about the massive changes in storyline. (think of those theories trying to merge the classic and tlos universes.)

Yeah, I actually made a whole topic that explains the whole thing. I'm surprised nobody responded to it, yet.

We already saw what an Undead dragon look like (Vathek), makes me wonder if Malefor will look similar.

I think it's a good idea on LocoGuy's part. But also I wonder if Malefor ever will ever appear. He played a huge role in Cynder and Hex's stories on route to them becoming Skylanders. But also. He would be a cool Villian maybe team up with Kaos in a future game? Or be a part of a Adventure pack?

Oh this is just awesome! Malefor is one of my favourite Spyro villians probably after Ripto! I wanna check this out, a huge climatic battle between Malefor and The Skylanders! Man I can't wait, this just made me a bigger Skylander fan!

Since he's undead, he'll likely look similar to Vathek, who is also an Undead dragon.

I'm thinking so. Vathek was pretty cool looking so there's hope. For a god design for Malefor.

No he was only mentioned in the backstories of Cynder and Hex, then mentioned in the Undead & Life Element book. He's making his debut in the upcoming comic.
