I was thinking, since their taking inspiration, from other series of Spyro.

Maybe they can bring more of his classic foes back. Say Ripto, he can have a longer horn and his cloak can have stars,and sun and moon on them, make him look like a true wizard and a threat, Crush and Gulp too,but hey be more dinosaur looking make Gulp's cannons shorter but deadlier, and Crush a little taller. They can be a true threat, Spyro could have defeated them, and say they come to Skylands to get revenge, and a huge battle ensues, were Spyro, Trigger Happy, and Cynder for example defeat them. Then banish them, to the far reaches of Skylands in some barren desert prison. it's just an idea though.

They went overboard with DotD Malefor's appearance. Too many horns and overly sinister.

There's a Skylanders comic? My god the artists behind it should feel ashamed. The art is extremely mediocre. I know non-professionals who draw better than the artists behind this comic!

To think this is the first 'official' comic book series of Spyro...

That is pretty rude. You should see Ken Pender's art before judging the Skylanders comic for having bad art.

hm. what exactly don't you like about the art? i'm not a big fan of the art style, don't get me wrong. i'm just wondering

also that's probably true, there are always tons of non-professionals who are better than the professionals. which really sucks.

From the public versions of Comic Issues #4-6 (not the mini-comics), each has a mini-story near the end that leads up to the events of the Return of the Dragon King arc.

The sequel to this is in Issues #7-9, which is a three-part story featuring Malefor, with Issue 7 coming out in March.

I see a very intense battle between. The Skylanders, and Malefor. Ultimately with the Skylanders by the skin of their teeth. Beating and banishing, or beating Malefor for good.

Book cover for the Return of the Dragon King comic bundle, it has Issue 7 through 9 containing the story arc with Malefor. Set to be released in June, sometime after Issue #9 is released -

Yep, he's going to appear in the story arc too. Supposedly other Skylanders will make a appearance in the story against Malefor in this one.

still kinda annoys me that Cynder is clearly purple xD

I know it is a reboot universe but come on, they are lending a lot of elements from TLOS series.
