Re: Activision selling Spyro?
Well I guess I just got lucky? Either that or everyone else is overreacting which I seriously think is the case with nearly all "terrible" Sonic games these days.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
My cousin is pretty up to date on this stuff, he said the last he heard was that Microsoft was taking interest in Spyro?
I don't really care who gets him, as long as they have the sense to do some good for him. Poor guy deserves it after all he's been through lately.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
As much as it would be GOOD for this series, activision would never. That would be like them cancelling the COD series. Skylanders is one of their biggest incomes. Sure, skylanders IS a different IP from Spyro, But they are too focused on Skylanders, and allowing crash and spyro to die.
But if they sell the original IP, HECK NO to Nintendo or Microsoft.
Sorry, but this franchise was intended for the Sony Playstation, not to be exclusive to those consoles.
If it was exclusive to anything, it should be the playstation.
Eitherway, these people better stay away from spyro:
EA GAMES (Top. Because they will add always on DRM, Microtransitions, and day 1 dlc)
Nintendo (It will become a nintendo only franchise)
Microsoft (They will do more harm then good, trust me)
I would love sony to get it. They would do alot of good with it. And heck, if sony had it, chances of them asking insomniac to do another one would be very high.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
Lol what if Valve takes licence?
We could see Spyro using a crowbar?
Even if I don't think they would release a third game on their series (Valve never did 3rd games: Portal, Half-Life, Left4Dead...) could be good to see a Spyro game on Source Engine!

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
I all ready know the answer there is none even if a good company got the rights to spyro guess what once skylanders was made the series was dead because skylanders has no plot the *bleep* voice acting ever made for 2 year olds and if fans of the other two spyro series were to play it it would be like watching a horror movie enough said just burn it and never make another spyro game it is already dead thanks to skylanders so just stop.
i'm back baby

Id love valve to take license anyday than EA or Activision. Both 2 of the worst game companies on earth.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
It would be nice... but they've basically confirmed they're done with Spyro. If I remember right, they said once that they're pretty much just a small company and wouldn't even have the funds to buy it from Activision.
I mean, from what I've seen of their various social networking accounts, fans are asking them to make new Spyro games all the time, and it hasn't convinced them yet.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
The series has been a rousing sucres. No need for them to give it up.
I mean I would love for Skylanders to continue without Spyro. He is always my favourite Skylander. And a new Spyro would be good. Back to a classic Or LOS. But I don't think it's happening ever sadly. Least we got the memories.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
Mr. John, you're correct about the Skylanders part, the series HAVE to continue without Spyro.
I was thinking that if Activision was thinking about selling Spyro, what i should say to them is to ask Electronic Arts to purchase them, they should be releasing Spyro games every year just like they release a Need For Speed once (or Twice) in a year.
Does anyone else out there agreed on Electronic Arts purchasing Spyro if Activision thinks about selling Spyro?

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
There's pretty much a meme about how bad they are, but no one ever actually seems to want to explain why they're so awful. I know nothing about them except that they make those sports games.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
EA makes the iterative sports games, charging full price every year while making minimal changes and disabling their online servers from previous game despite them being only 1-2 years old. I don't know all the details about them because I haven't been following video games that closely anymore, but I'm pretty sure that they're also infamous for their cheap DLC/season pass stuff and their PC gaming client, Origin.

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
EA doesn't just make sports games, they're also famous for Need For Speed, Burnout, Rock Band, and even BadCompany.
(i don't actually play or own BadCompany)
if EA purchases Spyro, Spyro games should be released every year just like Need For Speed was released every year (except there's no NFS in 2001 & 2014)

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
EA should never get hold of spyro because if they did they would probably charge $30 per addon (And the addons will probably be the levels and bugfixes )

Re: Activision selling Spyro?
Sounds like the newest Dragon Age was pretty good despite being published by EA so they can't be all bad. Also I really liked Mass Effect 3 right up until the final 15 minutes
