nice, didnt know they made a skylanders comic. still i prefer cynder to be black to differ herself from spyro. but thats just me.

It's revealed that Malefor struck a deal with a fairy named Calliope to steal the powers of Spyro, Cynder and Hex, reducing their powers to their simplest form. The three Skylanders and Wallop tracked down Calliope into the Cadaverous Crypts. Calliope hesitated on releasing the Skylanders' powers to Malefor as it will make them helpless, but did as she was ordered. The Skylanders were too late to stop her from releasing Spyro, Cynder and Hex's powers for Malefor to consume in order to be revived.

Part 2 of the Dragon King comic has just been released, and Skylanders Malefor is a lot more darker than his LoS counterpart. He not only has Calliope steal the powers of Hex, Spyro and Cynder to revive himself, but to also make the three Skylanders watch as he destroys all they know and love as revenge for the pain and fustration they caused him. He attacked the Skylanders Academy, where he plans to build a fortress of power in its place, and easily defeated the Skylanders, even the strongest of them, the Giants.

He lost his tail, wings and portions of his body after his fight with Hex but he patched himself together to make himself a weapon, even made his tail like a mechanical whip. The spike on the tip of his tail is enough to destroy stone walls and deliver devastating that defeat Skylanders in one blow.

I predict an intense battle between the Skylanders, and Mally. Where through a combined Flameball, spectral lighting, and phantom orb combo. Spyro, Cynder, and Hex, will defeat Malefor and imprison him. But it will be tough. Should be awesome.

Just like in Legend of Spyro. Malefor was a great villian, it took the entire Skylanders crew, plus their quick wits and teamwork to beat him. Great issues and hopefully another familiar villian appears down the road.

I like LOS Malefor more. But Skylanders Malefor is cool!

Malefor in Skylanders does have more of a personality and character to him. The 'lore' of LoS Malefor is briefly brushed over as I recall, and this Q&A builds on that further. However, we aren't fully given the motive as to why both chose to become evil initially, but Skylandes Malefor does have a motivation for his actions (the need to be the most powerful else his self constructed delusion of his place in this world is non-existent [If that makes sense tongue ] ).

Personally, I would like to see the origins of his evilness. I could see something similar to what Stalin had or something, where he has some extreme paranoia of other people besting/usurping him and and thus he needs more power and control in order to prevent that (which then makes more people hate him so he needs more power etc...).

Overall, I think Skylanders Malefor has more going for him, though I like the design of both big_smile .

Legend of Spyro Malefor. Is evil, cunning, and manipulative, Skylanders Malefor is Dangerous, malevolent, and Intellegent, But even though Malefor in LOS wanted to destroy the world that's all he wanted. This Malefor is power- hungry and wants to be the undisputed king of Skylands. And eliminate the Skylanders. Sky Malefor has more personality to me as well. I like him as a villain. So he's the bigger bad.

I wonder if Malefor makes more of an appearance in Superchargers since he is meant to be appearing "pretty soon" (according to your dA Q&A a month ago), maybe at least featuring in some Easter Egg.
