Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
The farm glitch is a glitch which occurs in Country speedway where after racing and beating the pigs, the egg is not rewarded to you and will never be rewarded to you in that save.
This is SO annoying. Happened to me few years back and I still haven't got to clearing the game again.
Spyro games I own:
-Spyro 1
-Spyro 2
-Spyro 3
-Shadow Legacy

Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
In the greatest hits one they just fixed up a few of the glitches. i think thats about it really.
It also has a few more music tracks.
And If you dont want to get the farm glitch, Do not exit Country speedway until you do all 3 challenges

Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
Hi everyone, i posted a post on a topic and wanted to share it with you, it is the list of Flaws in Spyro 3... and there arn't many. Add to the list if you want:
Spyro 3 had some flaws
1.Glitchy (but tyhey were fun anyway excluding the Farm glitch)
2.Collecting all the gems to get 100% was a pain (For some people, anyway)
3.Skateboarding wasn't good enough (i thought the minigame was good, but some thought it left out some great parts of any skating games)
4.Too easy and the enemies are too easy to kill (I didn't mind this, but others did)
5.Crappy 117% boss battle and ending (i agree, probably because they rushed it, but i couldn't blame em, it was made in only 1 year)
6.Cant replay most minigames (This flaw was annoying)
EDIT: I replayed Spyro 3 and actually, most minigames ARE replayable
7.Music wasn't as good (debatable)
8.Levels too small
Oh, god, I disagree with all of this... o_O Spyro 3 is my idea of what a perfect game is like... My only real complaint is that it's too short (I could play it forever, though, so my expectations on that are unreasonably high) and the sequels aren't as good...
And yes, I am back on SpyroForum now.
[https://www.fanfiction.net/u/5597209/spashthebandragon] I've got fanfics for Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Frozen, and Spectacular Spider-Man. Err, separately, I mean. Not some weird crossover thing. Those are all separate fanfics.

Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
I dont think Spyro 3 is short at all, especially if a n00b is playing

Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
And yes, I am back on SpyroForum now.
Who the hell are you?
Anyway:
1. It was quite glitchy but didnt ruin the game experience for me. Even although they indicate how much work they had with this game they were fun to mess with.
2. Are you serious? It was too easy IMO. I liked all the insomniac-style-gem-spots in Spyro the Dragon.
3. Skateboarding wasnt bad, in fact it was okay. There would have been much more they could have done with it though.
4. I agree. Enemies had much more variations of attacks in Spyro the Dragon and in Gateway to Glimmer.
5. I agree. ALL the bosses were super easy.
6. I agree, even when the minigames were fun i didnt have any need to replay them.
7. The music wasnt as good as in its predecessors but it fitted the game well.
8. Some of the levels were totally mind numbingly boring, dull and unimaginative. Still i think that probably some of the best levels in the original Spyro trilogy are in this game.

Exactly.
Anyways, none of the levels were boring, what're you talking about?

Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
1. You can easily avoid the farm glitch. The other ones really don't detract much from the experience.
2. I liked the gem hunting. It was fun to search Cloud Spire for fifteen minutes for the last lousy green gem only to find that it was hidden behind a pillar in the first part of the area.
3. I felt there were too many skateboard activities... But they did give me a sense of satisfaction when I completed them. Though, some of the extra point things were murder to do.
4. Killing enemies really wasn't the point of the game, but you could adjust the difficulty, anyway, so...
5. Eh. I thought that it was a bit off, but you have to cut them some slack, after all.
6. -
7. I rather liked the music. Fit with most every stage, fairly decent.
8. Some of the levels admittedly were rather tiny, but given that you can explore every single bit of most of them, that makes up for it in most circumstances.
I didn't really find many flaws in this game. I just think that a few of the minigames could have perhaps been less cruel, like the second turret game in that egypt-based area that's name escapes me.
All of my eggs have died.
... Good thing I have recipes for this.

1.Glitchy (but tyhey were fun anyway excluding the Farm glitch)
The glitches were fun!2.Collecting all the gems to get 100% was a pain (For some people, anyway)
That was fun too. I guess I'm a collect-a-thon junkie.3.Skateboarding wasn't good enough (i thought the minigame was good, but some thought it left out some great parts of any skating games)
It was ok for what it was. Fun to ride around and could have even been used as a vehicle.4.Too easy and the enemies are too easy to kill (I didn't mind this, but others did)
I think there was a dificlty glitch you could use though I've never tries it and don't know how much harder it makes the game.5.Crappy 117% boss battle and ending (i agree, probably because they rushed it, but i couldn't blame em, it was made in only 1 year)
I think the game was slighlty rushed which is why we didn't get a pre-battle cutscene but I agree, could have been fleshed out more.6.Cant replay most minigames (This flaw was annoying)
EDIT: I replayed Spyro 3 and actually, most minigames ARE replayable
I think its possible. It was in 2.7.Music wasn't as good (debatable)
Definitely worse than even Enter the Dragonfly. Too hyper and inappropriate for a medieval adventure game. Dino mines the 1st time thriugh actually gave me a headache from its childish beat.
This video proves that Spyro 1 music even fits 3 better.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wEgIjOXX0g8.Levels too small
They seemed decent sized to me. 1's levels were kinda small, imo.

Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
My main flaw with Spyro 3 is that there is no cutscene before you fight the Sorceress.

Re: Spyro 3 Flaws
I strangely thought EtD's soundtrack was better than this game's soundtrack too. It was probably because the way Copeland did the music for EtD reminded me more of the First game's composition's.
