Anyone here miss the pre-Legend of Spyro era?
For some reason, I really get all nostalgic and warm when I think about the days of my youth back when it was just the classic continuity. I loved the look and feel of the classic era and I love all the games from that era. Sure there were some hiccup games here and there, but I just really miss the 'Spyro' franchise.

I miss the classic Spyro and really wish the games hadn't ended, but I also like the Legend of Spyro series.

Me too, although I think the LoS games could have been better (I was young when I played those games so I lacked good judgement at the time :3).

Pretty sure most people here feel the same. We just don't talk about it cause the topic has been beaten into the ground over the years. Just go replay some Spyro 1-3 and enjoy it!

Yep. The Classic series should come back if they ever make a new game. LoS just wasn't that great imo.

Re: Anyone here miss the pre-Legend of Spyro era?
I like TLoS for the more detailed environments, exploration kind of feeling, and the more relaxing adventurous music. But the original Spyro games had great gameplay, replayability, a different kind of adventure, and more upbeat music. Either way I love them both. The original Spyros also have different themed levels and even enemies so you never get bored of moving forward in the game, whereas TLoS was just copy/paste ape enemies.

Yeah I agree shame that TLOS series didn't switch up their enemies.

Nothing beats the classics in exploration and detail. Even Insomniac boasted about it on their web site

Re: Anyone here miss the pre-Legend of Spyro era?
The series ended after Ripto's Rage but got revived with Legend of Spyro. The exploration, challenges, characters. Bosses. The confident, brave, and cocky Spyro and friends. The classics were the best. I loved LOS too they were awesome! Perfect, adventurous, and charming.
