Interview with Jared Pullen reveals additional lore about TLoS
This interview was being tossed around on dS and the Spyro sub-reddit. It is quite interesting.

This does indeed fill in some lore from the TLoS series that might have been missing, as well as some additional content/lore. For example, Ignitus was actually intended to be Spyro's biological father, but the idea of Malefor being his father was tossed around too.
Some people have been speculating that this hints at a new game. However, there is no suggestion or inference of this being so (and also because the series is basically done and Activision holds all the rights and stuff). I think people just find that all this extra lore (such as the revealing of a new character) provides a basis for a story from which a game can be developed. And, as Stormy said:
Eh, we really don't need another TLoS game
^ More or less. May not be 100% accurate. I'm not that willing to scroll through the thousands of Skype conversations to find a quote from two weeks ago or something

regardless, i agree, i don't think we need another TLOS game

Wow a lot of this backstory is really interesting, shame it wasn't added in the game.
